Truss Home Inspections

DO NOT USE Truss Home Inspections. If I could give a zero star I would. Robert whom I believe is also the owner and only employee inspected a home that we wanted to purchase. He issued a report as well as a walk through stating home "had good bones" and was in good condition. The items that he listed as concerns were addressed with the owner and or we were able to take care of them. After buying the home and doing demo one of the workers fell through a washroom floor into a basement crawl space. It was moldy, wet, joist rotted and exterior wall rotted all the way to the roof. We contacted Robert and asked if he entered into the crawl space, he advised NO. This is one of the "Standards of Practice" items that all inspectors should be doing. He stated it was about 4-5 feet from floor. I'm pretty sure he should have a ladder but will not he did not have a problem going up into the attic which is about 7 feet from floor! He told us to try to claim on old owners insurance. He has avoided our calls, not called back and has left us with almost $4000 in repair costs. Two electricians became sick not knowing mold was present. The home was closed off by the mold company for almost 1 1/2 weeks which halted all other renovations. His site guarantees all work and also states "#1 home inspections in Utah" which is unfounded by his reviews as well as a request from the BBB to substantiate claim,s which he did not reply. I personaly would consider that false advertising! Do not use this company. Use one that has great reviews, research them and or follow advise of your realtor, we did not use a realtor and obviously did not do enough research. After contacting state agencies we learned in Utah a home inspector can be ANYONE! Which is whom we got. They are not licenced are not governed by any agency therefor the only action against them can be through civil court which is where we are headed.. Please look else where if looking for a good home inspections for your next home..

Absolutely awesome experience. Robert is obviously very well qualified and extremely thorough. He was also very flexible in meeting our tight schedule. Inspection report was the most detailed we've ever seen.

Highly efficient, explained all the terms in my language, and most of all, he was a joy to work with.
