Did a good job

Terrible experience. Hired to refinish kitchen countertops. The job had a very uneven blotchy finish. Tony did not cover protect anything while spray painting other than countertops. Did not use drop cloths or cover appliances. Paint spray everywhere when done. Scratched the floor, left a dent on the refrigerator, sprayed a kitchen screen. Complained about the job after day one. Tony blamed the product. He returned applied a top clear coat over the uneven paint. Complained again he scheduled a time to come look at it said he may have to start over. No clean up performed at all. It took me 12 hours to clean up the kitchen after he left. This was a Christmas present from my sons. After they saw what he did how he did it they were livid did not want him to return to repeat it over again. Totally unacceptable and a disaster. It cost $480.00 to have his material removed in which I was told the product was indeed poor quality would not have lasted.

He said he could do a job that he couldnt fulfill. He never did the job.

Requested a tub cut out. Received paint placed on the bath tub - no even proper glazing materials. Call and they said they do not do tub cutouts, when that is the only thing I requested to be done. A tub cut out and resurfacing. Threatened legal action against when I in actuality will have to pay to get this paint removed off the tub and a proper tub cut out preformed as asked and specified and as agreed by the technician. Claimed to have never heard of a tub cut out - what a professional - lol DO NOT USE THE COMPANY. $500 FOR RESURFACING IS LAUGHABLE. I CAN GET YOU SEVERAL PLACES THAT DO JUST RESURFACING FOR $199. FOR QUALIFY GLAZE. NO PAINT. I will serving legal action for the cost to fix this mess. I am not the one to mess with.

I hired him to reglaze my tub for $695... it also needed to be stripped, which he said that he could do for an additional $300.. He said that it would be **no problem** The tub turned out terrible...He did not strip it all the way. It looked like a bad **bondo** job with runs and smears all over from where he wiped the runs, and it also felt like sandpaper on the majority of the tub. I gave him a chance to fix it and redo it, and it turned out even worse. He would only partially refund my money, saying that **HE NEEDED PAYMENT FOR HIS TIME** He kept $200 of the total $995 I paid him. I also ended up having to replace my tub and shower surround completely because of what he messed did. It set me back 2 weeks of progress in my project, because I was waiting on him to try to make it right.. I feel like he should have been the one to take the loss, not me, since he did not know what he was doing for the job. I do not feel like I should have to pay for something that he could not deliver on. It should be mentioned that I was very nice and understanding during this whole process with him. I told him he could refund my money if he was over trying to fix what he messed up.... He said that he would refund my money, but when I received the check it was short $200. This was very frustrating, which is what led me to write a review... I STRONGLY suggest NOT using this company. Tony with Tubs N Counters.

This turned into a bigger job than originally thought. Tubs n counters was helpful every step of the way with recommendations of people to help get the task accomplished. Friendly, responsive, and great work. I m very pleased!

UNINSURED!!!!! He re-glazed our garden tub, and overspray got all over our brand new ceramic tile in our bathroom, our brand new faucets, our brand new shower, our brand new mirrors, our brand new granite. We had just finished re-doing our entire bathroom two weeks before he came out. The overspray even carried into our bedroom and ruined all of our furniture, including an irreplaceable corner cabinet that belonged to my grandmother. We provided an estimate to Tony from Hayes and Sons to have all professionally cleaned, but he said no to the $515 quote and wanted to fix it himself. We gave him the opportunity, but he was still not able to make everything right, and in fact, only made our ceramic tile floor worse. He agreed to come back a second time to clean, and we (reluctantly) agreed. This time he scratched the walls and there was no change to the floors. He said he would paint the walls and cut and polish the tile. Our bathroom contractor advised us not to do this so we proceeded to tell Tony it was time to get his insurance company involved. He could not present a Certificate of Insurance and admitted two days later that he indeed had NO INSURANCE because his office manager had let coverage lapse. I am not sure he was ever insured because he could not even tell me his agents name, and I am not sure he has an office manager either as this seems to be a one man shop. Said he could do the job again and when I asked him what job, he said he could re-glaze again while under the new insurance company. ??????? Insurance fraud? I told Tony we had never sued anyone in our lives and we did not want to. He told me do what you have to do;. I suggested contacting our bathroom contractor to get a quote on replacing tile, repainting the walls, and getting new faucets. I did not want him touching my grandmothers cabinet for fear of making it worse. And I sold my beautiful 6 piece king bedroom suite and had to take a big cut off of that because of the over spray. He thought it would be a good idea to get a quote from our bathroom contractor. I hope he is not just stringing us along. I have taken numerous pictures of the over spray on everything....just in case I need them in the future. So very disappointed that my brand new bathroom is RUINED, and this guy has zero insurance. Do not let him into your house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trustworthy and kinda, within days my kitchen had a face lift and it looks amazing. They are outstanding and affordable.

So far I'm very happy. Someone contacted me promptly and gave me a reasonable estimate and we'll start the work sometime soon. Great. What a help. More later.

TGH did a very professional job and we are very satisfied with the results. We will use them again in the future.
