Jason refused to do most of the work he agreed in writing to do. He still charged me the full price.

He was hired to do several different jobs for my parents including interior painting and instalation of flooring. He is the definition of a I am going to outsource this type of worker where he would hire different people to come in, do a horrible job, charge again to fix the mistakes, hire a different crew who did an equally poor job, and in laying in the floor he would not remove the original flooring but instead laid on top of it (including ontop of carpet and tile for different rooms). Instead of cutting and taking measurements, they destroyed the flooring by taking shortcuts which resulted in more having to be bought. He promised he has full coverage insurance and when we asked for his information, he provided false insurance information. I would go on to say more, but we are already out $21,000 for his incomplete work and we were worried that he willl come back in retaliation if we say anything more, however, we just want everyone to be aware of his practices.

**Currently rating based upon performance/results up to this point in time Jason contacted me after I filled out a general request for estimates online. When he came over to give me the estimate he told me he charges $75 for estimates outside of a certain radius. This was never disclosed beforehand; the first time I was aware he charged for estimates was after he arrived at my home and after the estimate had been done. I ended up going with him because his reviews online were okay, he really is a nice guy, it is a locally owned business, he and I were able to come to an agreement on a price, and I had already given him $75 (which he said would be deducted from the final amount if I went with him). I hired him to paint two rooms for me. Just painting the walls and not trim or ceilings and nothing too fancy. One room was all the same color and the second room had one accent wall in a dark blue and then the other three walls a lighter blue. Pros: -I think he legitimately is a nice guy trying to run his own business -Local, independent business -Does try to work with customers to compromise on price Cons: -Did not make me aware that he charged for estimates -Negotiated/compromised on a price but then made me feel guilty or like he was doing me a favor after the fact -Imprecise work. After he had initially completed the job there were large patches of white/jagged edges between the accent wall and adjoining walls as well as in multiple areas between the ceiling, trim, and painted walls. He has come back once to clean up these edges and now the patches of white are minimized but there are splotches of color on my white ceilings and white trim. At present there are a few spots of paint on my carpet and one of the rooms has multiple spots on every wall that still need a second coat (white is showing through), where nail holes were not filled in, or there are drip marks. Jason and I are currently going back and forth on him coming back again to do a second coat of paint. His current position is that I need to pay him more to come back but I believe I paid for a job that he has yet to complete. When we were first discussing he told me he wanted to make sure his customers were satisfied and said if I thought it needed a second coat he would do a second coat. He markets himself as a professional so I expected clean lines, no drip marks, and full thickness coats of paint. Unfortunately this has not been my experience with him.

Beware ruined my carpet with red mud and ruined my room with terrible carpenter work. I had to hire another guy to fix work and cost me 3xs more to remove the work he did. It was so unprofessional. He marks up supplies 4xs the cost. Did not fix what I asked or how I asked. I am unsure if he is license or not????

Frustrating

Jason was a pleasure to work with he is dependable and very reasonable with his prices. The quality of craftsmanship is excellent and I would recommend Tuck and sons handyman services to anyone. I have had them perform many task for me over the last year and have always been satisfied.

Tuck and sons has performed multiple and varying services as we have tried to set up a new home. Ranging from difficult furniture assembly to painting to pressure washing to re-hanging every door in the house. Quality of every project was absolutely perfect. Tuck and Sons has also been professional, reliable and extremely pleasant to work with. Recommend very highly!
