Interior Painting or Staining
I had an unusual issue with paint peeling, they removed the chips and put the putty on too thick. They came with the wrong color paint. One coat of paint was done and I had to call the painter to put on a second coat
Response from Turk's Carpentry & Paint
"We apologize for the inconvenience but we believe we made the final outcome to satisfactory conditions as per the customer. The putty absorbed some paint so a second coat was needed. We put on the second coat for free as it should be."

My agreement with this business was to have a chain link fence with black vinyl coating installed and crown molding in the interior of my home. Both of the jobs were entirely unsatisfactory, as though there was no experience whatsoever on the part of the workers. The fence is so inferior that it will require dismantling and a new one installed. The posts were pounded into the ground with some sort of violent piece of equipment that damaged all of them. No hole was dug or concrete used to secure them. One can simply lift up the posts and they come out easily. No stretching or wiring was used so the lengths of fencing are flabby and can be lifted up from the bottom. The entrance gate to the fenced area does not fit and the latch does not engage; the gate is one of a *homemade* nature and does not match the fence--it has been spray painted. The wire used to fasten the fencing to the posts is of a different color, were improperly cut and protruding to make them not only ugly but dangerous as well. I could go on forever, but you get the picture. The *crown molding,* turns out to be a trim such as one uses as a baseboard. The nail holes were not filled, improper sawing was done so there are unsightly cracks everywhere. Please, people reading this, DO NOT trust this individual with your property. I am out of a great deal of money as he refuses to rectify the damage.

The deck and stairs do not look as good as the pictures, most of the wood is split at the nail and screw holes, the steps off if the deck does not feel like they can hold a person for long. The wood is pine which is too soft for this project. Devin is very polite but he needs more experience. I paid for a permit which was never purchased from my city, I am lucky I did not get a large fine. He says he can try to remedy the situation but I feel a lot needs to be torn down and done over. I thought the quotes given were good, but you get what you pay for.
Response from Turk's Carpentry & Paint
"I built this deck in January using.. yes pine pressure treated lumber...which is standard for a standard deck. I was told that under 200 square foot decking did not need a permit. We found out that depends on the inspector. The second inspector pointed out a small detail that showed a permit was needed. This was too late as it was 90% built at that point. We apologized to the customer and we were going to apply for a replacement permit but the customer never answered. This was a few days after building completion. We had built it at a time right before the extreme temperatures so the small checking (cracking) that occurred was non structurali"
