I hired the company to fix the deck. Jose made an offer of $250 to fixing the deck or $350 for fixing and staining the deck and even painting the rails (I told him 8 pieces) (labor only)¼ over the phone and I accepted it. He came on time and was polite and nice. But when the deck was almost fixed, he told me staining was not included. I said ok as I thought his offer was too good to be true. Then he said he could not fix the deck and paint the rails for that price because he said I said posts instead of rails (¼ actually said rails near the front porch). Again I said fine. No complaint. But when I stained the deck, later I found some places were not secured with screws. I sent a message with photos to him. He said he would come next day and then made me a new offer to replace all the boards. I did not accept it and he did not show up. When I asked him why, he told me he could not do it for free, could not keep coming back, did not want to be taken as a sucker, and did not want that type of business. Although finally he agreed to send someone here today, saying if it is something he can do it quick no problem, otherwise he will ask him to kindly leave. It is 7 pm now, and his man has not yet kindly come. And he has not even send me a message.

Agreed on a price. After starting the job would not continue until I agreed to pay him three times as much.
