i paid tyler to take down 2 trees he never show ed up to do the job. ask for my money back and have been given every excuse in the book. been put off for almost 3 years. what a way to run a business. what a way to treat a disabled vet

I would advise not to hire him to do anything in your yard.

I just want my money back. It has been too long. UPDATE 11/19/2020; Took too long, didn't understand the problem.

STAY AWAY. Like most others who have posted reviews here, I was swindled by Tyler Parrish. After paying for some services upfront (my bad there, I should know better, but he came recommended by another, similar reviewing and contracting website, so, I foolishly trusted him). Tyler performed some initial work but then failed to finish taking down remaining trees and limbs and didn not finish work on a tree he cut down. Over a period of 6 months, he continued to promise to finish the work but always had an excuse and never came back.

Big tree, very tight space. I got turned down by 5 other tree trimming services and Tyler got the tree cut down. He was timely, safe, and confident. I would recommend him over anybody else.

They are great, nice and took care of the job. I was real pleased with them. Im glad I was recommended to these people!

They showed up when they were supposed to and did everything in one day!

He is a scammer, liar, and stole my money. Tyler started the project and was paid then never came back to finish after several phone calls promising to come and finish the job. Six months later and he still has not returned.

Estimate was considerably lower than other estimates. Removed 2 large trees and stumps within a week after estimate was given. Done a great job. Exceeded my expectations. Had them to also reseed my yard. Would definitely hire them again!

NOT DEPENDABLE! My yard is a MESS! Keeps putting off doing the job! SUPPOSED to be here Monday to do the job, it is always this day or that!! One excuse after the other, to be getting a new bucket truck so the job is to be done Monday, September 21, 2020, maybe, may not!! Constantly having excesses, never did do the whole job. Dropped limbs where ever they wanted, damaged fences of neighbor, and never has fixed it. Trees were to go to the ground, but did not have saws to do the job! Had to charge uplift on my electricity. Got tired of dealing with them, told stop!! He did take off of the final cost!! WOULD NEVER HIRE!!!!!!!!!!!

Very slow in getting to your job required half down but no hurry to do job! Asked to return because clean up was not satisfactory, promised to come! Once they got to the job they did well and quickly, just took almost a month to do it.

When the team showed up they went right to work and finished in a timely manner.

Very professional and curious. Phoned if they could not come or was gonna be late. Left area near and tidy. Did what they said they'd do.

I made the mistake of paying Tyler Parish in full when he arrived and started working on my yard and even added to the original work and paid him for that. Instead of doing all the work, Tyler had 1 man with a chainsaw cut trees and limbs for two hours, and then a man with a truck came later and picked up what the first man had cut. That was all the work that was done. The agreed job was never finished nor did they ever come back. Tyler agreed with me that the job was not complete and promised me he would return and finish the job he had been paid for in full. Tyler promised me five different days and times that he would return and finish. Three weeks later he still has not returned. Tyler was aware that this job was time sensitive and had to be completed by an agreed date. He let that date lapse without ever returning. I was forced to hire another company to finish the work. I would never hire or deal with Parrish Lawn again. I hope this review will help someone from making the mistake of hiring this company.

Called them for a quote and they came out July 28th. The quote they gave me was reasonable so I hired them and paid a 500 dollar deposit. Called them Friday august 8th to see when they would come out to do the work and was told the first time Monday August 10th. No one showed up so I called that Monday and was then told august 12th or 13th depending upon the weather. Weather on Wednesday was fine, very slight breeze and rain all day up until about 5 o clock I believe no one showed up. August 13th weather was clear the entire morning until about 1 and no show. I am trying to be patient but considering getting my money back.

Timely and very professional, excellent job

Do not hire this person. Signed a contract on 6/5/20, gave a $1,500 deposit for the project to be completed in *about 2 weeks*. After almost daily excuses, the crew showed up on 7/3/20, and Tyler lied to us out of the balance of the quoted job--another $1,450, which he asked for in cash--fortunately that did not happen. He cashed the check, and suddenly the crew did not have the right equipment. They left without doing any work, and Tyler left for his Florida vacation with a pocket full of our money that same day. Two guys showed up 7/17 to take down 1 of the 4 trees contracted for, but the stump remains and the debris was left all over our driveway. The daily excuses after 9 weeks of hearing them would be funny if Tyler did not have $2,950 of our hard-earned money, and if we did not have a tree threatening to fall on our house with every Southern Illinois thunderstorm. If only we had used something else (see Johnson, Union, and Williamson Counties) to check out Tyler Parrish, we never would have hired him. Shame on you, Tyler. Update: 09/24/2020 Lessons learned: Never pay for the job until completed. Always look up court records for contractors. Parrish made me look like a child. Highlights: -1 tree (of four) cut by Parrish. The stump remains as clean up was partial. -1 tree cut by sub-contractor. Parrish could not handle it, but subcontractors dropped it and sectioned it in a matter of minutes (wish I would have talked to them first). Parrish did partial clean up for this tree as well. I will be burning for months. -Two other trees untouched. -Ruts in the yard, no effort to even try to fix this. -Four months of texts and phone conversations. Trying to get this finished was like having a new pen-pal. My co-workers would laugh when I worked on my daily conversations with Parrish. You are talking to the tree guy again, are not you? -This whole deal tainted our summer. Could not set up a pool. Cannot let the dog out without a leash because the job needs to be done before the fence put back up. -$3000! Wow. The things I could have bought.

Very disappointed. We hired them to cut trees down and remove stumps. Yes they did that. What we did not realize the equipment used they tore up our yard. We had 3 trees cut down. Once the stumps got dug up, the large piles were left. No clean up. We were promised that dirt would be brought in and spread where the ground was destroyed.After my husband called him at least 10 or more times, and promise after promise to come out and spread the dirt, we still have no dirt. Always an excuse as to why he did not come the day he promised to come out. He also agreed to get a bunch of roots from 2 of the trees we had cut down dug up. Not done either. So now we have 3 large piles of mulch and ruts in our yard, and roots not dug up. Tyler is a good talker and seems like a straight up guy, but does not follow through with what is promised. All this work was done the middle of June 2020. It is now July 29, 2020. He promised to be out today, and what a shock, nobody showed up. I do not usually leave negative reviews, but this is the worst treatment we have ever got from someone who we paid to do a job. We paid half to hire him, and then the other half when they finished. He was such a nice guy, and very personable we did not think he would stiff us after he promised to fix our yard and clean up the mulch from the tree stumps. I would highly recommend to NOT use them and if you do, do not pay the other half until what you are promised by him is done completely. We learned a valuable lesson. DO NOT USE THEM.

Please refund my deposit as agreed upon. I have been waiting months.

Do not use this company unless you want to get your money taken. If he could not do the job he should not take the money.

Received a quote from Tyler on Tuesday, and trees were down by Wednesday afternoon (he already had a crew in the area). Good value for the money, the work was in line with what we discussed, and his crew was extremely efficient.

Very easy to work with. Did a a quality job for a very fair price. Did everything thing that was agreed upon. Would definitely use the company again and I recommend it highly.

Carpet bagger * A person perceived as an unscrupulous opportunist. Tyler has a smile a mile wide, and will promise you anything, yet when time comes to follow through he will have taken off with the money, wasted months of your time, and left you with a jobs been half done. Do not hire nor trust this man.

I hired them because it was an emergency to get the tree down. They said it would be done the next day (Fri). I got a call at 1:30 saying they could not do it until Monday. Poor communication on Friday but great on Monday. They got the job done and at a good price
