Very limited knowledge of basic building codes. Tells me house doesn?t need a grounding rod because ?in Oregon? 4 lines enter the house with ground wire?.. what! Then I notice that the ground wire from panel is grounded to the old galvanized water pipes. If he took the time to follow the pipes to the main waterline, he may have noticed that the main pipe is PVC! He is deliberately vague when describing issues. He wouldn?t say ?windows inoperable due to rot and being painted shut. Instead he lists a menu of ?things that could be wrong!? He scoped the main drain and halfway down his camera stopped working. He tried to just shrug it off as , I?m sure it?s all good!? Made him do it again so I could see the complete video. He charged $750. He is more focused on being a ?realtor friendly inspector? than objectively listing the condition of the house. Don?t waste your money!?? just a quick update. Please save yourself money and heartache, and look elsewhere for a competent home inspector. I have genuinely wondered if he accidentally sent us a rough draft of our inspection report vs. a true finished report, being that he missed so many significant things. This is the text of my husbands review, which has mysteriously disappeared from google. I would strongly discourage a potential homebuyer from employing the services of this home inspection company. Despite being well-meaning and polite, I found the inspector to be dismissive of concerns which ended up being real issues discovered shortly after moving into the home. The inspector missed the broken valley and common rafters in the attic crawlspace. He mistook sump pump pit for a well among many other mistakes. Furthermore, his report did not reflect that he inspected the fireplace or the wood stove at all, and photos in the report of other elements were misidentified. This was all after paying $1000 for his top inspection package.
