In October 2024, we entered into an agreement with Eric Smith of Ultimate Roofing and Siding for the purchase of construction materials (siding) related to a home improvement project at our residence located on Vinalhaven. As the first step in our agreement, we paid Eric Smith $41,137.09 in good faith to purchase materials. However, Eric Smith failed to fulfill his obligation. He did not purchase any of the materials and has provided no receipts, no proof of purchases, delivery confirmations, or other documentation. We specifically communicated on multiple occasions that he could not perform any work on the project until materials were ordered, delivered and paid for. After multiple requests for updates and accountability it has become clear that the funds were not used as agreed. We have asked for our moneyback. He has refused. After trying to resolve the issue on our own, enduring his verbal assaults, lies and threats, we are pursuing legal remedies.

Eric Smith is a man of his word. He is extremely dependable and does excellent work. He re roofed my art studio on Vinalhaven, ME and it is perfect as well as visually beautiful. I would recommend him to everyone.

He is an absolute pleasure to work with and he has done multiple jobs for us.
