I was very happy with Nick and the work that he did for me. It wasn't major - replacing some faucets and a bathtub drain. But he was very professional, on time, and pleasant to work with. He was one of the few contractors willing to work for a by-hour fee, rather than just a bid for a job without seeing it, which is often over-estimated by many risk-adverse contractors. He was careful in his work, even wearing booties in the house to avoid tracking in dirt and mud. I was very happy with the results and would recommend Uncle Shietz Plumbing to others as well.

I had a simple project (less than 15 mins), but still got charged $100+. This may be the going rate for plumbers, but I would have appreciated some concession for the short job. Also, while the job was done successfully, the white teflon tape was visible between the shower head and shower arm connection. On a positive note, the plumber was extremely punctual and very pleasant. Also he did offer me a good suggestion that I wouldn't have thought of on my own.

Nick was the third professional I contacted, but the first to actually listen to my requests and offer sound advice, without strong-arming me into doing work I didn't want or need. Willing to come out and inspect himself, instead of sending a lacky or a quote over the phone, which put my mind at ease. Scheduled the work within a timeframe that was accomodating and fast. Did the work himself, with the knowledge of an experienced professional, and was not afraid to listen to me but also explain why he would do things a slightly different way. Easy to converse with, understand, and non-abrasive. The best experience I've ever had with a plumber.

Arrived on time, both times! Very professional, personable, and stayed until the job was done. A very reasonable rate for high quality service. Felt like they were here to help me rather than me cater to their needs (a definitely new experience regarding home repair). I feel like I've found a plumber I can trust and will call again with any future plumbing needs. A bit gruff when he answers the phone, but look past that. He's fantastic! I recommend Uncle Shietz without reservation.

He scheduled an appointment, arrived a little early to review a hot water tank replacement project on Saturday pm. Stated it could be done on Sunday so we did not have to go an extra day w/o hot water!!! He arrived as agreed the next day, removed old unit/installed the new unit and cleaned up the work area and hauled off the old unit. The final cost exceeded his estimate by =/- 10%. With taxes it was a little more than I expected, but worth it, to have the hot water restored!

Overall, the work was good and the gas plumber was knowledgeable.
