Brick, Stone or Block Wall Installation
Lamar was great. It took awhile to get the project started due to bad weather. Once the project did get started, we had more rain, and it was further delayed. I felt reassured by this, actually, because it showed that the job was going to be done properly regardless of the time it took. As the project progressed, Lamar had some ideas to improve other parts of my property which I hired him to do, and those came out beautifully. Overall, the project turned out well, my property looks much better. Good value for the money.

Interlocking Pavers for Patios, Walks & Steps Installation
Lamar Slomer and company were very professional . They completed all work as promised and explained all work and installation project from the beginning. Job was maintained and cleaned up well when done. I would recommend to anyone.

Landscape Yard or Garden Installation
So much went wrong I don't even have enough space to list it all. 1) Sod estimate was way too low, had to double amount needed to finish yard. 2) Workers were unprepared, didn't have the right tools at start. 3) Workers covered up with pine straw what they said they removed. 4) Lamar is extremely unprofessional-curses, yells and hangs up on his customers when confronted about poor work. 5) Did not clean up anything onsite, dirt left in driveway, soda and water bottles all around house & hidden in plants 6) I provided water to the workers because they had NONE, and was even asked to continue to do so. Lamar reluctantly finished the sod.

"We did have the correct tools to do job & we did clean up after each day & the contract was quoted for 2 pallets & it took 4 cause the customer extended where we had agreed to lay the sod, she was very rude & I did provide food & water to my workers, if she did, it was never asked of her to do so & that is on her, & she just didn't want to have to pay for the xtra two pallets of sod when the contract only called for 2 after they extended where we were to lay to begin with, no tools were ever provided from customer cause we had all the right tools, I will never do work for this lady again due to her threats & how rude she was."

Landscape Yard or Garden Installation
Lamar was hired to extend a brick patio on my back porch. When finished, the grout work was sloppy, covering most of the bricks, other areas of my existing patio and siding on house. Lamar argued if he should have to come out and fix the grout. Finally a worker came out to clean up grout using acid. The acid ate away at the grout that needed to hold bricks together, at which point Lamar refused to come out and fix again. The next day he offered to come back, at which point we didn�t feel comfortable with him being at our house because of his poor customer service, poor quality work and use of profane language. We now have to hire someone to fix Lamar�s work.

Lamar and his crew do outstanding work. I would definately hire them again. The only issue we experienced was some under estimating on amount of sod needed and bobcat time for removal and grading but we were able to work through the price issues and finished with a great yard my kids can now use. I will also say Lamar worked diligently to deal with the roll off dumpster company who were horrible to work with... Never, ever, ever use Express Home Works 12460 Crabapple Rd Alpharetta Georgia Zip Code: 30004 for roll off dumpsters even if they are the last company on earth... Thanks Lamar,

communications throughout the project were great. The qulaity of the laying of the pavers was good. What was not good was the clean up after the pavers were installed. Cleaning up the dust, the messes that were made around the project, debris, etc. was not done.

Lamar contacted me immediately regarding installation of a stoop and stairs and gave a quote day of contact. He made several very good design suggestions, which I followed. The work was completed on time. We had a slow start the first day but Lamar was right on top of it and changed worker to one with more experience. The second worker was on time, polite and a very good brick mason. I am expecting a wrote iron railing to be installed next week, which I am confident will be a great job! I would recommend Unique to friends and neighbors!

Concrete Patios, Walks & Steps Installation
Lamar was hired for paver patio & steps. He did not properly dig out and prep the sites. He wanted to lay pavers above grade, with no base, & wanted to lay patio near 5 inches out of level and sloped toward house. He was very unprepared and without proper tools. He was shown how out of level patio was, and he refused dig and prep site properly. He complained about the job and said he would "walk" multiple times. When asked if he was refusing to do the job properly. He cursed at my wife and me. When asked to leave our property, he became verbally abusive and aggressive and the police had to be called. Hiring him was a mistake.

No police were ever called & the customer & I did have a dissagreement with this customer but not his wife & I never cussed at the customer & I refused to dig to how he wanted because it would have not been level & I have 22years experiance in this bussiness & never in my years of service to customers have I had a customer like this & in the long run after I advised customer I was not laying a patio as he wanted due to it would have been unlevel & I do my work honest & right the first time, he & I both agreed for me to walk away & he was even refunded as well. Accepting his job was a mistake."

Interlocking Pavers for Driveways & Floors - Install
As far as the work itself; it took way longer that anticipated. In addition, my major issue was that my Son had to use his own credit card for renting of equipment to complete our project (Contractor did not have one) plus ** overtime was added ** due to the late return on the equipment. I feel it is not fair that, Lamar, has yet to reimburse us back for that, also. ($40.00) For the above reasons I would not hire him.
