Very polite, cleaned up everything, job well done

They sell you don't need. They do not perform a correct chimney sweep. He would not clean the chimney from top down. They should be reported to the better business bureau

This company was the first to call me back after searching Home Advisors for help with my chimney soot build up. We set a time and they came out on time, did their job better then expected with no surprises. I would use them.

I made my appointment through Home Advisor and never heard from anyone, so I called both numbers (different numbers from email and HomeAdvisor). A man named Mike said he had called to confirm appointment time of 2-5pm, which my appointment was scheduled at 4pm. He had a very heavy accent and was difficult to understand, which could account for his abrasive approach to our conversation. He had never called and come to find out was trying to change the time to coincide with an earlier appt in my city, which would have been fine, but I wasn't available. My appointment was at 4pm and he arrived at 7:30pm. The man that showed up appeared to have a shirt on that was not United. He tried to quote me $176 for initial clean when Mike already advised cost was $146, and then he tried to up sell me a barrage of services. He said my chimney was very dirty and I needed to use a chemical cleaning for $350. I declined the upcharge and he called his supervisor and was able to get me an $88 discount because I was "the last client of the day." Still declined. He was visibly mad, but swept my chimney. It took about 5 minutes and was barely dirty at all. As it turns out, I have only had 1 year of use of my chimney. Glad I didn't fall for his hard $350 up sell for my very filthy chimney. He cleaned up his bag, left the soot all over my fireplace hearth, wrote me my receipt and left. He was rude, lied and tried to rip me off. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

It was very hard to understand him. His English was not very good. We misunderstood the amount he said the job would cost. We had to pay 150 dollars more than we thought we would. He would not give me a receipt or leave until HE marked the rating as a 4. I told him I did not want to mark a rating, and he would not take no for an answer. He marked it as a 4 and then gave me a receipt.

Oli was a subcontractor for United which I did not know until later in the service. He arrived an hour prior to appt so I was not back home yet. Did not call prior to arrival. Did not start the gas in either fireplace when complete. Took away the embers and lava rock that I thought belonged back in the gas burning fireplace. He said I did not need them. I then spent $75 at the fireplace store replacing everything he took away including 2 pieces of "wood." He quoted me another price to do a "sanitation." I asked is that total for both FP. No, it was each. Ok, I said. Then when he went to write up the ticket the price was not that, but that was JUST for the sanitation. Another sweep called to give me a quote while United guy was there and their quote was half for cleaning and reblacking interior. Oli sprayed the black on my back patio sand. Redoing the bricks. No drop cloth. Did not ask if it was ok to do that. We haggled for quiet some time over the price and I told him what I was going to write the check for plus tax. Ended up writing it for a higher amount. I called the Supervisor about it and the embers and lava rock but no one has called me back yet. Service was last Wednesday before holiday. Today is Monday and we will see if the follow up. Not a good experience at all.

Alex was a little late, but he called. He was great. He cleaned the chimney. He will come back in Dec or Jan to get rid of the mold.

I'd like to give feedback on the appt. I had yesterday. United Cleaning was supposed to come clean my chimney and do an inspection. The worker who showed up was in an unmarked van. He had a hand drill with a hose that had a tiny circular brush on the end of the hose. He went up on the roof and spent about 5 minutes brushing out the inside of the fireplace. Before he went up there, he taped plastic to the front of my fireplace. When he came back in to remove the plastic, the soot that had fallen into the fireplace fell out all onto the tile in front of my fireplace. He then asked me for paper towels to clean it up, which I provided. Then he asked if I wanted him to clean the soot out of the fireplace. I told him yes, because that is the soot that fell from the cleaning. He used my fireplace tools to get some of it out and left the rest. Where he cleaned the soot off the tile, it got all into the grout between the tiles and was not all the way clean. i ended up having to clean more when he left and I can't get the soot all out of the grout. I then asked about the inspection that was supposed to be included with the cleaning. He said he would go back up to look. He did, then came down and said he didn't see any problems but he really couldn't see because it was dark. I also asked if there was anything in the chimney, such as a bird nest, and he replied that he didn't feel anything, which told me that he didn't look in there. When I signed the receipt for $157, the company on the receipt was "Green Clean," not "United Cleaning." So I don't know who this was or what qualifications they have because I had looked up reviews for United Cleaning. I'm very disappointed. I needed a good, written inspection and I did not receive that. I do NOT think my fireplace is now clean. 5 minutes and a small brush I'm sure did not clean it thoroughly and I don't appreciate that I had to clean again after he left. He was polite, but asked if I was married. Not professional. Would not recommend.

The cleaning process was pretty quick. I guess their prices are about average for this type of work and as for the work quality I did not have anything to compare it to. Customer service is excellent, the gentleman bumped up my appointment to accommodate the prompt need.

charged me 880$...well over you're bell curve which shows 300 midline and the highest price 600$. Only worked for 40-45 minutes.

Give me a quote, but when they left the bill was 5 times more. also left the brick and the floors a mess which I had to clean up. Will be filing a complaint. It was not United Home Cleaning Service that showed up it was Green & clean cleaning service.

I was very impressed from the onset with my initial contact with Alex. and once he showed up and started working he didn't disappoint. He kept me constantly informed as to what and why he was doing certain things and suggestions on how I could continue to keep things clean. I would and have Recommend them to friends and colleagues.
