Concrete Flatwork - Repair & Resurface
Avoid this business. They are amateurs. Their sloppy work began to peel and crumble within the first year. They tried to lift a slab of concrete by looping a rope under the corner, tying it to their truck and driving onto my neighbor lawn. The concrete did not budge but they left a huge gouge in the lawn. Do not waste your money.

Brick and Stone Flatwork Repair
We were looking to have our steps either resurfaced or replaced. They assured me I didn't need to replace them and resurfacing would be fine. They came out and said there was no need to remove the railing. They went to work. Less than 8 hours later it was bubbling and cracking. I asked them to come out to fix it before I paid the rest of the bill. They came out the next day and fixed it. Again by the next day it was cracking and bubbling. The third time they came out and repaired it, it took a bit better. it was breaking away by spring. They again came out and fixed it. Again it bubbled and cracked. Now I can't get a hold of them, even though they gave us a 7 year warranty. I would not recommend them.

A big rip off! I told him I needed to get a permit to do the job he avoided it because he knew the village would have to inspect the work he did and they wouldn’t approve of it. They did a horrible job they came with bags of Home Depot cement not even the best quality and it was all breaking up within a few days I called him to come back to repair it. Took him a few weeks finally came when I wasn’t home and still did a horrible job. Please don’t waste your money with this crook.

Concrete Foundation Repair
The job they did started to lift 2 months later this was back in September. I called them, no response. Not worth my $13,500 Also leave the debris for me to clean.

I was charged $1475 for Tuckpointing, Sealing the cement, and to dig down and locate the crack and pour liquid tar down to prevent leak in the basement. The leak was never fixed and the owner refused to give me any form of refund back. Then had the audacity to try and get more work from me for a roofing job. I had to pay another company who charged me $1500, but they did it right and fixed the leak. In short Universal Masonry & roofing is a scam of a company and I do not recommend.

The work was done by his workers. The owner was a typical salesman pushing us to give him more work. Plus he wanted a signature on a blank contract which we did not sign.
