They deserve five stars, but the rating system only allowed me to give them 4 1/2. ?????? They went out of their way to find the right fixture for my bathroom. Their work was professional and prompt. I’ve made them one of my “favorites“ for plumbing services.

Thoroughly professional and I was happy with the work performed and the prompt customer service. My only complaint would be that I would have no real way of determining the value for my money, as the bill did not break out labor and parts costs, so it seems the final price is a number out of thin air. Auto mechanics provide a published hourly rate, and you know what each part costs, so why not with plumbers? Also, due to the nature of my service (gas leak related), it would be quite difficult to get any real estimate to compare to other competitors; you'd have to be in my apartment to fully assess what was needed...

Just to hock up the Gas appliance and not even 20 minutes, I have to pay $190.05 was a bit expensive. No parts invalid. Some of the listed company even more expensive but don't want to name the company.

The reason I called was an electrical outlet stopped working. I did some basic troubleshooting and it was a 110v outlet jumped from a 220v outlet. I'm not comfortable working with 220v so I called Universal. Steve the electrician arrived before schedule, spent time troubleshooting the problem, explained the problem to me, and gave me a written estimate for the resolution. I asked specifically for him to do the work to fix it. He arrived on time, ran a new wire and although it was necessary to open the plaster walls, he minimized the damage. Overall I'm very happy with the work and would hire them Universal and Steve again.
