"This is Vicki from University Movers. I cannot say how strongly I feel about what my response is on this review. This gentleman and his wife were in a situation where they had to do there move all in one day, and there was going to be quite a bit of down time in between there closings. We are ALWAYS on the clock during that time, however, I try to help people the best that I can, and instead of charging them all of that down time I offered to just charge them a three hour minimum in the morning and a three hour minimum in the evening, with our travel fees. This saved them $550.00. Then when the evening came and due to circumstances that were out of their control with there evening closing they were not going to be able to load until very late. I then accommodated them by moving things around for the next morning so we could unload. Which I didn't charge them, a full rate of overnight storage either. No where in this review do they state how I went out of my way for them Because, that is what I always try to do for my customers. They were so thankful for "all of my help" They also complimented my on how hard the men worked, and how polite they were. Again, no mention of that in this review. Yes, their 9 year old TV did sustain damage during the move. Yes, we were very sorry. The TV was completely encased in padding and shrink wrap, unfortunately even with all that protection it did get cracked on the screen. I kept in contact with them throughout their claim with us. They signed for ..30 cents per lb. per article insurance. It is all well spelled out and acknowledged by them. I technically only hade to give them a check for $9.60. However, again because I do care about my customers my insurance company researched for my what that model of TV is worth being a nine year old TV. They indicated the depreciated cost would be $154.00. Which is what I sent to them. I didn't have to but I did try my very best for their entire moving process to help them, I have to say again, they do not mention any of these things. None. It is very disheartening as a business owner for 33 years to have reviews posted on the internet where they can bring a rating you work very hard to achieve be tarnished, because the entire truth is not told."
"Thank you so very much. We appreciate your business and kind words. Please enjoy your new home."
"Hello, Alansa, I am very sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your experience with our company. I di try calling you a couple of days after your move as I do with all of our customers to see how things went. I didn't hear back, and then I saw your review. I do know that we were late. You were told that we would arrive approximately between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m. However we did not arrive until 3:45 p.m. Again, I am sorry. We were indeed 1 hour and forty five minutes late. We did call as you stated to let you know that it would be between 2:50 and 3:10 that they would arrive. You did then call and I spoke with you and I did indicate that"
