"It was great to meet you and ( consumer name withheld per their request)! Glad that you are enjoying your new home here in Washington, and glad to have been of service. Thanks for the kind words!"
"(name withheld per customer request), I appreciate that you felt the job went well but I'm not sure that your ratings support your comments. For example you stated that I "stuck with his quote even though the project required more time". Maybe the Value for Money could have been a 5.0, not a 4.0? As it is you rated Quality, Customer Service, and Value for Money all at 4.0, yet somehow the overall rating is only worth a 3.0? Doesn't make much sense, and this rating affects how prospective customers make their hiring decisions. Please reconsider your ratings scores and fix this for me. Thanks!"
"Phillip, I worked for you 5 months ago. At that time I fixed all your plumbing leaks very quickly and you were very happy with my work, you were very complimentary in your words about my work. You also had several other contractors working on various projects around your house, and I wonder if it is possible that after 5 months time has passed have you possibly confused me with one of the other contractors? The comments you are making now are not even close to the comments you made at the time of the work, so it makes me think you might be thinking of one of the other guys and not me?"
"Jane, I don't quite know where to start in replying to your review since it contains so many outright and blatant false statements. First I will say that I am sorry that your project did not go as either of us had wanted. I feel compelled to refute many of the things you said in your review. To start with, your assertion that TV Wall Mounts is my area of expertise is false. It is one of many different services I offer, and I have done dozens and dozens of TV Wall Mounts, and every single customer was completely happy, UNTIL YOU. You told me about two other contractors that you had run off in mid-job, and I thought "OH OH, here we go". You told me that the two wall mounts were already in position, except the one in the bedroom would not handle the TV from the living room. So I drove 17 miles into town and back to get you a proper mount and HDMI cable which was needed for the new TV. That drive used up at least an hour, because you were unprepared for my visit. You stated that I unpacked the new TV, but I did not. You alluded to an "agreed upon price", when in fact the estimate was for "four hours UNLESS there were problems". You chose not to hear that. The problems I ran into were the result of the previous installer's methods of installation. Because he did not install a "cable tube" like every other in-the-wall wiring job I have ever seen, he set the next guy up for failure. Now, while that is not your fault, it's not my fault either, it just is. When I said that I couldn't finish the job in the estimated time, that the job would run over the estimate, it was YOU that blew up and got angry. YOU suggested that you would pay me for what I spent on the new mount and HDMI cable plus $100 for my time, and that I should stop work and leave. After you gave me that check I decided later that if you were unhappy with my work then I didn't want ANY payment for my 5 1/2 hours of labor. You took back the first check and gave me a second check for just the materials. I guess that your normal M.O. has been revealed: you get part of the work done for free and then run the contractor off, so you don't pay. Shameful. I also feel compelled to invite you to look at all of my other reviews posted on HomeAdvisor.com - 30 other reviews over 4 years time and a rating of almost a perfect 5 stars! It is inconceivable that I could have that kind of rating over that long a time if my work is as bad as you make it out to be. In fact, I am the highest rated Handyman that HomeAdvisor has in Thurston County. So, in closing I will say that your review is unjustified, undeserved and contains many falsehoods. I will be asking HomeAdvisor to remove your review because of all of your false statements."
