Up 'N Adam Construction, LLC

I hired Adam for a renovation job and paid him a large deposit prior to starting work. Adam sporadically show up to the job for short periods of time, constantly lied about when work would be done, delayed all the other subcontractors, then ultimately stopped showing up to work after two months of excuses and not completion any scope of work. He refused to pay back portions of the deposit for unperformed work and materials not provided. The job ended up costing more money due to Adamâ  s inability to work. We are in the process of small claims court to recover some of the money. Advice: stay away and do not give deposits to Adam.

We hired Adam to build a deck on our home. He worked hard and was very responsive. The issue which is still unresolved is that he used another contractor to pull the permit, and told us it was approved. This was untrue, so we currently have an illegal structure attached to our home. We have reached out to both parties because new plans need to be submitted, but they will not respond at this point. The work ended in October and it is now April. We believe we have been very patient in this process, but we cannot t wait any longer. This needs to be resolved. There is also a lot that needs to be repaired on the deck: uneven stairs and treads, cracked post tops, too many and uneven footings, and more. If I could attach pictures, I would. I do not believe some contractors understand that if you have an illegal/un-permitted structure on your home, the homeowner may not be able to refinance or sell the home. This is very upsetting.

Adam installed a dead bolt on my door and also repaired my basement door. Excellent work

Adam is very friendly guy and knows what he is doing. I am very happy with his work and did something extra for me aside the additional ventillation I asked him to do.. Good job Adam. I was happy giving him extra although small.

Great experience with Adam. He is knowledgeable and competent, his pricing is fair and he is honest. Our projects were completed quickly. Adam had a lot of good ideas too. We are very happy with his work and anticipate hiring him for future projects.

Adam was a delight to work with from start to finish. He was creative in solving a design issue for our outdoor project, took full ownership of all aspects of the project, clearly documented everything that would happen, and finished on time (actually ahead of time) and on budget. His craftsmanship and attention to detail was stellar

Adam is dependable, honest and does great work. I have contracted him to do more repairs for me.
