Upstate Management was and has been so great to work with on building our new Townhome. They do a great job communicating the process and flexible if tasks need to be changed. They build beautiful homes with quality materials. They do a great job with customer support and always responsive to your needs and questions. Even after the house was built they still are happy to help out and answer any questions you might have! 5 Star service!!!

Jeff and Peter with Upstate Management are, in my opinion, the best builders in the area to work with for any sort of home project. They built a guesthouse for me that has turned out absolutely stunning. More than that, they were always available for anything we may have needed during the building process. At one point, our cabinetry was accidentally installed in the wrong color and all it took was a text - they had it fixed in no time with no questions asked. That's one example, but they continually ensured everything was going well and were very accommodating with some specific requests I had. Their subcontractors were exceptional and regularly commented that Upstate was also the best company they worked with in the area. I could not recommend them any more highly! Honestly, call them to find out for yourself!

We hired Upstate Management to renovate an existing 100-year-old garage/studio building into a guest house in our backyard. I can't say enough about the quality of the services we got from Peter and Jeff. They were with us every step of the way, from initial concept to design, permitting, de-construction, construction and clean up. At every stage, they were conscientious, responsive, courteous, competent and flexible in their approach to meet our needs. As any homeowner knows, renovation projects are almost always painful. This was our biggest project yet, and the UM team brought the project to completion on time and on the budget, and always made the process as painless as possible -- sometimes even fun! Peter and Jeff will always be our first call for future renovations. We now not only consider them the best contractors we've worked with, but also true friends of the family!

Bathroom Remodel
I agreed to the estimate provided and told other contractors I was going with someone else and ordered the replacement furniture based on this. I contacted with question about how some of the work would be done and he said he had bigger jobs and couldn't do this. He should not have quoted the job, if he knew he wouldn't be taking it in the first place. Now he has left me hanging with material coming in based on the estimate he provided and now not doing the job.

"Jason, I'm very sorry you feel this way. I think this is an unfair rush to judgment as you neglected to mention the fact we previously worked on your rental home just a few short months ago with no issues or concerns (hence you asked us to quote your new project). You also mentioned from the beginning that the job was small and even asked specifically if you could just go through our subcontractors to save money and avoid paying us. We did indeed give you a high level overview of the project and supplied a quote. At that time you did ask several more questions and we answered them. You then again asked more questions, however this time after further internal discussions I reached out and stated we would be unable to perform the task due to other larger engagements. At no point did we exchange funds or execute a contract. We truthfully believe we were putting you in a better position by not taking the job. Sorry for the inconvenience and best of luck. I set up a meeting with a representative from upstate management and it was for 11:00. The representative showed up properly for the meeting and we discussed what I wanted done and he said he was going to have an estimate for me by the end of the next week, which I never received nor did I get a call. I waited two weeks and ended up having to call myself and I was promised by the prior representatives business partner to have a quote by the next morning and still never received a quote or a phone call. I called to inquire what was going on and once again never got called back. The situation was very unprofessional and a total waste of my time.

"James I apologize we did first speak when we were on vacation and you were promised a return call when my partner returned. You did indeed call back and we spoke again. We initially met the week of 7/30 at your home and were then out of town through 8/10. When we spoke the week of 8/13 you asked if I would still be able to give you the quote. We provided that quote on 8/16. I called immediately after to see if you had questions and also emailed and never did hear back. Again I really apologize and wish you the best. Thank you, Upstate Management LLC"

Their carpenter, drywall and electrical people were very conscientious. Their plumber and HVAC people, however, were not. Overall the project was a success but we did have to push back on several things and the Coordinator gave us a bad attitude when we did.
