We hired Urban Exteriors to replace our roof, replace some siding and paint our house, replace gutters and replace front windows per Insurance. He was overpriced compared to other quotes we received, however we decided to go with him due to the ease of working with one contractor for all of our exterior work. We regret this decision. While the quality of work was great, we had to call each crew back out with a punch list of items to fix. Communication was poor and I showed up one morning after running errands to find a paint crew trying to get in to do the paint punch list. I had no notice they were coming. Scheduling was also difficult, each phase was pushed back and it was assumed that since I stay at home, I was just sitting around waiting for work to be done when in fact I have a busy schedule. The final straw was when I was trying to follow up on our window order about 5 weeks after we had thought it was placed. I didn't hear back, my husband called and also got no response. Then we got a call from our insurance letting me know the completed work invoice had beeen submitted even though the work had not been completed. I then contacted John to find out why this had happened. I let him know the work was not complete and we would not be paying the remainder of the invoice until everything was completed to our satisfaction. I said this because of the history of difficulty communication and getting the crews back out to do repairs (we still have a crushed downspout needing to be replaced by his paint crew). He responded be saying he cancelled our window order. My husband and I both have experience in the construction industry and know that it is difficult to cancel window orders due to the fact they are made to order. We are guessing he never placed the order and no longer wanted to deal with us.

Finding a contractor to do the varied exterior repairs my home needed was difficult (siding/trim repair/replacement and paint). When many said “we can’t” Urban Exteriors said “WE CAN.” In achieving beautiful results, figuratively and literally they nailed it! Communication was excellent; focused attention to detail; respected property and landscaping; on time and kept to schedule. John and crews were all extremely friendly and accommodating. My new roof is next. Love my “new” home!

John and Jennifer run a family owned business. John came out promptly for an estimate, which was comparable to other estimates that we received. The fact that they were able to move so quickly is why we choose them in the end. The work was completed in 1 day. Although, there was a lack of communication with the end outcome. John was willing to come out the very next day to make the corrections. We would highly recommend this company.

HIred during the rainy season and needed the gutters to protect a new outside wall. Was overcharged nearly 30% for job.

During such a busy and rainy time of year, I appreciated them getting my fairly small job done rather quickly.
