Custom Cabinets - Build
?? WARNING: Utah Flooring & Design is the same company as Topshelf Cabinets. Read the Google reviews before spending your money. I wish I had. We paid over $17,000 on March 28. Installation started May 22, and another installer didn?t come back to finish until June 25. That?s 28 days without a functional kitchen or bathroom vanities. Do the math. It?s been over 80 days since we paid. Every mistake they made became our problem, and they expected us to pay for their errors. Once they have your money, they start ghosting you. In my opinion, Paul Turpin?s behavior was narcissistic. He called me, and I honestly thought he wanted to resolve the issues. Instead, he yelled at me, insulted me, used profanity, blamed me for his company?s mistakes, and tried to intimidate me instead of taking responsibility. Save yourself the stress. Stay away.

Carpet Repair, Refasten, or Stretch
Edgar was very good. He knew what he was doing and re-stretched our carpets so the rooms, hallway and stairs look perfect. He discussed areas of concern and explained how he would address the problems. He did a final walk through to see that nothing had been missed. It was a pleasure to have him in our home.

Carpet - Install
Utah Flooring and Design came out to our house and gathered measurements to provide accurate estimates. The sales guy came with many different carpet samples of varying grades to help us make the right choice for our house. Their prices and rates were competitive with other flooring stores in the area. I did finance through this vendor for the purchase, which was very easy to apply, and approval was same-day. They helped find an installer that met our aggressive timelines during the holiday season. The installer came in and was professional and courteous and the finished product was exactly what we had hoped for. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

The short story: I paid a 50% deposit and made an appointment. The tech didn't show and no one called. Then they charged my card for the other 50% without my authorization and without having done any work. Longer version: I was told that my 9am appointment was the tech's 1st of the day, and that I could expect him within the 1st hour of my 2 hr window. Near the end of the 2 hrs I reached out to the office and asked when I could expect him. They said they'd have him contact me. An hour later, having not heard back, I said if he's not here soon I'll have to reschedule. They said they would have him contact me. Forty minutes later, having heard nothing, I told the office we'd have to reschedule. They said they would have him contact me. No one called. One hour after that my credit was charged for the other half of the job without the card being present, and no work having been done. I did get a refund, but not easily. Don't chance it.

Luxury Vinyl Flooring - Install - Materials Not Provided by Consumer
Alex was an amazing installer and has a keen eye for detail. He arrived on time, communicated well, was polite and did an amazing job. He is a perfectionist (which I loved!!!) and took the time to do the job right and not just quickly. He takes pride in his work. He noticed imperfections in my subfloor and used a concrete leveler to fix low spots and a sander to hit the high spots before installing because he knows that can affect the way the floors wear over time. He even noticed a squeak in my floor and fixed that too. Floors are gorgeous! Thresholds look great! Alex arrived early each morning, worked hard everyday, gave me an update before he left everyday and tidied up. Seriously, a dream contractor! We haven't reinstalled baseboards yet, but these are my beautiful floors.

Wood Flooring - Install or Completely Replace
Great experience. Installer was very detailed oriented and kept me aware of schedule of work. A pleasant surprise that an initial schedule of one week was accomplished. The quality of the install as well as the removal of existing wood & tile floor was done in a clean, professional manner at a fair price.

The floor installer did a great job. But I ended up having issues with a couple of stairs lip was lifting .Called to make an appointment someone texted back with appointment date then text at last minute to say installer was not going to make it. Then had to reschedule appointment and then never showed and no response from company still to this day! That is the most unreliable company and they are horrible!!!

Vinyl or Linoleum Sheet Flooring or Tiles - Repair
Chris Trease, who did the estimate, helped select the tile, and get everything started was great. Once the project was handed off, though it went downhill. The day the tile was supposed to be delivered, I waited for 3 hours and no delivery. When I called them, they said that the tile was back ordered and I needed to pick a different tile but no one bothered to tell me. So, I picked a new tile. The next day the installer showed up but there was no materials. I called and left messages and finally got a response that the delivery would come later and the installer was supposed to just start demolition on the existing floor. Again, no one bothered to update me or the installer. Overall, the communication from Amy (the project manager) was awful. The only way I could get a response from her after leaving multiple messages was to finally reach out to Chris to get her to respond. The installer was condescending and did a terrible job putting the molding back on. Would not hire again.
