This company is run by Tom Warner, who has quite an infamous past as a plumbing contractor. I found this out after I engaged his company. Another tech tried to tell me I would die of carbon monoxide poisoning if I did not replace my oil heating system. Its been two years and I am still breathing. VERY POOR CONTRACTOR-caveat emptor is good to keep in mind.

The contractor did not show up at all on the first scheduled appointment (due to a meeting.) Two weeks later on the second appointment, I was told the gentlman could not come out then either. When I threatened to have someone else come out and do the job, the contractor showed up later that day to do an estimate.(I took the whole day off for that) One week later, the job was completed. The contractor was knowledgeable and courteous, but left a little bit of a mess.

The plumber sent by USE was very helpful, suggesting ways to fix one of the problems in the future, and working hard to minimize potential extra expenses.

If all of Utility Service's personnel are of the same caliber as Pat, then this company will never go out of business. He was polite, courteous and professional as well.

Did an excellent job on-time, on-budget

I was not happy with the response from the dispatcher and the service man every time I asked for an estimate prior to having the work doen. I asked the dispatcher and told her the amount I had in mind. She informed me that it was not possible to give me a figure, but she was sure it was in my range. When the serviceman arrive I again asked him for an estimate prior to work starting. In fact I asked him three times. He did not repsond. I had to leave him to go answer the door , when I returned he was coming down the stairs to go to his truck. I did not ealize that he was doing the work until he returned and said well I know the problem and it is fixed. I agian asked what the pricing was and he kept on going. He clean up the work and informed me that he was giving me a discount rate total of $197. I told him I had only budgeted $100. I could have gone to my homeowners and paid $50. with my deductable. It was a washer that he replaced within 20 minutes. He advised me that even though he had a book of prices (which he showed me) that the dispatcher could bnot give me a price. I was offened that I had not agreed to this and had to pay after he had done the work. I will not only not use this service again, but I will not suggest it to anyone else who needs in house work done. Was generally very happy to get these small jobs done in a timely manner. The repairman was very nice and showed me what I could do myself in the future. He did fix the leak in my toilet as one thing. unfortunately some adjustmetn still needs to be done because I now seem to have to flush it twice or hold down the handle as it is flushing in order for it to flush all the way.

The plumber did a great job. We had another problem which he fixed while there, and he didn't mind the constant 'assistance' of our 2-year old son.
