VA Premium Cabinets and Renovations finished our completely unfinished basement within 12 weeks (including 2-3 weeks we stopped work because we were out of town). The work was completed on May 31, 2018. I waited until now to submit my review because I wanted to see how the work held up after a few months. Pre-sales: First, Kener (foreman) came to the house on a Sunday to do a walkthrough with my wife and me. He did a great job listening to us and he provided us with good feedback. It was an excellent first impression. A few weeks later, Geoffrey (owner) and Yasser (designer) came by. Similar to Kener, they made an excellent first impression. Yasser provided us with CGI designs that really captured everything we wanted to do. Ultimately, I chose VA Premium because of Geoffreys kindness, accessibility, knowledge, experience, timeliness, and pricing. Framing: Giovanni, Eduardo, and Vrino did an awesome job and finished this work very quickly. Giovannis attention to detail is amazing. He is truly an artist and a genius with his hands and vision. This inspection passed after additional fire blocking requirements were satisfied. Electrical: Giovanni did a great job installing the wiring (a lot of wiring) for the numerous switches and outlets my wife and I asked for. This inspection passed with no issues. Plumbing: Geoffrey convinced us to do a trench and install a wet bar. Guillermo delivered and everything came together perfectly. Guillermo is a genius and a true professional. This inspection passed with no issues. Drywall: Lalo and David are really awesome at their job. They put the drywall up super quickly and with no issues. I truly enjoyed watching them in action. Painting: Eduardo and Vrino did a great job. We are very happy with their efforts. No issues at all. Flooring: Jose and Ervin did an awesome job installing the Coretec flooring and carpet. They were super-fast. We are very happy with the results. Wet bar backsplash: Jason did an awesome job. Everything was installed perfectly and the final result is exactly what we wanted. Wet bar cabinets: The Forevermark cabinets are very nice. The color and design are exactly what we selected from Geoffreys catalog. There were some design and installation misunderstandings that were quickly resolved by Geoffrey, Yasser, Kener, and Giovanni. The final result is exactly what we wanted. Wet bar counters: The Stone Studio team Geoffrey works with are awesome people. The guys who installed the counters did a great job. I was really impressed with their precision and dedication. The final result exceeds our expectations. Wet bar: The wet bar is exactly what we envisioned. We are extremely happy with the results. Bathroom: We absolutely love how the bathroom turned out. Giovanni is truly an artistic genius. He completed the shower tiling, shower niche, in-wall shelving, and other bathroom items exactly as we wanted. You could tell this was not Giovannis first time doing the bathroom (or any other work). We are extremely happy with the bathroom. Other: Two other team members, Yorvin and Noel, came by periodically to make sure the project kept moving along. Like everyone else, they are very nice people who did a great job. MAJOR CAVEAT: Although we are very happy with the VA Premium Cabinets and Renovations teams work and although I would hire them again, I had the luxury of working from home for most of the projects duration. As such, I was able to monitor the projects status on, at least, an hourly basis and identify and address issues quickly (I am also OCD). My constant presence proved important several times as some items that could have been big deals later were nipped in the bud. Additionally, my constant presence also allowed us to incorporate in-the-moment ideas and designs quickly. And, in hindsight, all of those in-the-moment ideas and designs were significant and came out beautifully!

Do not hire this company. I hired them for a basement remodel. They did not show up on time and did not complete the work as scheduled or as promised. After two weeks of completing two days worth of work, they tried to charge me more money without completing the initial milestones. The work they did complete I had to have redone. I had to fire the company and demand a refund. The company still has not refunded me $1900 for the work they did not complete.

VA Premium Cabinets has just completed our basement renovation just in time for a huge family wedding we are hosting at our home! We met with Geoffrey (the owner) 8 weeks ago and we tasked him with completing our basement within a short time-frame. Not only was our initial meeting very pleasurable with Geoffrey, as he educated us on a lot of aspects we didn't think about; he also came up with an incredible design and an affordable estimate for all of the work we needed done. The team working on our project was fantastic and such hard workers. They paid great attention to detail and were very good about cleaning up after themselves and the project space. The finished product is even better than we had hoped it would be and we are so pleased they finished ahead of schedule!!! Communication was excellent throughout the project and we are so happy with our new space. We highly recommend VA Premium and we will use them again for future projects.

I thought the crew was great. There was a language difference (which caused some misunderstandings) but their quality of work was very good. I played reviewer on a daily basis and really kept a pulse on what they were constructing simply because I have done this before on rental properties BUT now it was something I was going to live in. The Contractor would return my calls timely but not on site much. Have everything in writing especially the little things for they can add up. Make sure you have a working design plan and have a review with the Contractor and THE TEAM BEFORE YOU START and then everything should go well. Don't discuss the pricing with the Team, can cause some discussions you don't want to have. If you don't want to be directly involved with the project and want someone to do it all for you, they might not be the company for you. I liked playing the role of Project Manager but, not everyone does! I designed and picked most of it, like the flooring, the cabinets, the quartz counter tops, lighting and color combinations. Its beautiful!!

We love serving nice people. This customer had a very detailed methodology and a detailed basement. She also very much enjoyed the project managing (in part, although it was not required) but we do it everyday and well. I would say that much if any of our issues came from trying to fit a renovation project into her normal life project management government contractor system. They just aren't managed the same. I think we both learned but the review is a little tough on great people like us. "Beautiful" and "work was very good" speaks for itself, as she stated above."

Virginia Premium Cabinets was hired to build a wet bar in our basement. Although we are pleased with the final product, the 2 1/2 months were very stressful at times. The stress was due to a lack of communication when wrong materials were ordered, twice having to order more material due to miscalculations or redoing a certain area and a miscommunication regarding the final design, which added a 4 week delay and additional cost. Unfortunately, we had to closely monitor the construction of the project throughout and point out any discrepancies, which eventually were addressed. One positive thing was the creative way the team addressed adding accent lights above shelves by extending a bulkhead. Again, we are pleased with the final product, we only wished customer service could have been more responsive to our needs and concerns throughout the entire process.

Virtually unheard of if anyone truly understands customer service as it relates to construction.This customer clearly states they are pleased with the results.We have pictures to show how beautiful it finished. Definitely the nicest in their neighborhood, per client. Background:This client made material changes to their project design after the original order, which yes cost additional time and money. They did not want to accept the time their change requests caused, but they did pay for the change order as proof it was an after the fact request. We installed it immediately upon receipt. To be clear, they had a usable bar very quickly, these additional touches were finished after arrival of parts but it did not affect use-ability. It was just extra back-panel and decorative doors from cabinet maker that they added."

Geoffrey and his team were hired to do a full remodel of my kitchen and did a great job. The kitchen looks fantastic. Geoffrey was responsive with any questions or concerns I had, and the foreman, Percy, was also great to work with. I can't recommend them enough.

I hired Geoffrey to renovate two bathrooms simultaneously to get a discount for doing both at once. Both bathrooms were completely renovated with all fixtures removed and replaced to include tile and flooring. Geoffrey was always responsive and courteous. He was immensely helpful with remodeling ideas and options. And during the project, he addressed any concerns I had immediately, even a problem I had several months after the project concluded. Best of all, when we put our house up for sale, the bathrooms were the biggest selling point. I enthusiastically recommend Geoffrey Land and Virginia Premium Renovations. I would hire them again for sure.

It's taken awhile to write this review, but probably for the better. Geoffrey and his team completed work on my basement three months ago, so I've had time to reflect on the experience and output of their efforts. All in all, I would highly recommend working with his company. After shopping a few contractors, I selected VPC based on their portfolio, price, and most importantly, the relationship. Geoffrey is an agreeable, entertaining and hands-on business owner. He's reasonable and easy to deal with. The job itself was to renovate a semi-finished basement. Objective was to turn it into a giant room for the kids and a theater for the adults. He worked with me to understand and determine the best configuration, at times talking me away from more complex or expensive decisions. The project team was a few guys, though much of the work was done by the lead contractor (Hernan). I had a full bath constructed with a fully-frameless shower. Also put in recessed lighting (18 cans) in place of track lighting on a previous popcorn ceiling (now, finally, smooth!). Replaced 30 year old windows and installed fresh drywall in place of old wood paneling. Smart basement with Caseta switches, Harmony hub and media gear in another room, 5.1 channel and UHD are the only devices in the main room. Turned out incredibly clean, though I'll give myself credit on execution for most of the smart home stuff. The end result was worth its weight in gold. I'm writing this review on the sectional downstairs now as my one and three year-olds play with their toys. The exact goal of giving them a giant room to play in was accomplished, and it looks incredible. My only caution would be that you come to Geoffrey with a plan. It's not a criticism of VPC, but I don't know that I was adequately prepared to do all of the design. My wife and I ended up having fun with the design and the end result is exceptional. Another word of caution (and Geoffrey warned me fairly on this one): Glass tiles are incredibly delicate, and mounting a fully frameless shower against it is risky. Looks amazing, but be prepared for some imperfections in the detail cuts. Will absolutely use VPC for work again in the future. Highly recommend you do the same. Won't be disappointed. (Also - public apology to Geoffrey for roughing him up on a phone call or two... :) I pushed an aggressive schedule on his team and he made it happen. True focus on the customer)

Just had a basement bathroom built and remodeled two other bathrooms. All bathrooms look great and the project completed on-time! Miguel (foreman) and his team did a fabulous job. They were flexible, paid attention to detail, and were very responsive. Things I like most about VA Premium Cabinets? 1. It's a small company. You have contact with the owner (Geoff). No waiting for a quote. No red tape. No corporate policies that slow things down and cause headaches. Geoff is very responsive to any issues that arise. He is an expert at what he does. He's always offering ideas and we really appreciated that. 2. Miguel (foreman) and his team of highly skilled professional that work at record speed to deliver stunning quality. I had the team in my home for about a month. They were super friendly - the kind of guys you can trust. I should also mention that I also hired this company to update my kitchen a few years ago and they did a great job with that too. Percy was the foreman for that project. It completed ahead of schedule and looks great.

Geoffrey responded immediately to my request for an estimate for 3 projects in our home, a master bath remodel, kitchen cabinet painting and replacing our basement ceiling. He gave me some really good ideas and the terms were reasonable. The end results were beyond my expectations. They completely transformed the master bathroom into a "spa" - love it! and the kitchen is so much lighter and brighter. While there were some small bumps along the way Geoffrey was always willing to offer a solution and work with me, and that's all you can really ask for. Highly recommend!

Virginia Premium Renovations (703-898-5298) has just finished renovating a bathroom in our basement and we are very happy with the finished product. I found them through Home Advisor and Geoffrey, the owner, came to see us shortly after we contacted him. He ran us through possible designs, costs, estimated time for completion. Kelvin, the foreman, and his crew were very professional, they consulted with us throughout and finished the job in the week they had promised. Overall a very satisfactory experience. Geoffrey, Marlon and their dedicated and professional team made the very best bathroom transformation in our house. The quality of their renovation work can be compared to what is shown on the Home & Garden Homemakeover television show (truly!) From the planning phase to the execution, the company provides us with the best advice that fits into our budget and project's intended goals. Despite several co straints that our old house has (1960s built), Geoffrey's team transformed the old style bathroom to a 21st century holistic and modern bathroom. We were just wow-ed every step of the way. The team was very patient as well to answer our several questions and feedback. They also responded to our frequent change-of-mind when it comes to little design revision here and there. The project took 7 days to complete at the rare level of perfection and artistical senses you'd not get anywhere else. I definitely reccomend you choosing VA Premium Cabinets & Renovations.

Totally surprised at Stacy S. review! It's like I had an entirely different company doing the work at my place! I had a kitchen remodel done. Geoffrey, the owner, Juan, the foreman on site, and Percy, the head foreman, answered all my questions, phone calls and emails. They came in at the right price, started the job on time (if not a little early!), came in on budget, and finished the entire kitchen, which included new cabinets, new tile flooring, new tile backsplash, new countertops, new appliances, a new paint job, and fixed the water damage found under the flooring, in a week and a half! They worked every day including weekends. Everyone from the foreman down to the helper were cheerful, helpful, and worked extremely hard, which included cleaning up each night! The one night they left their tools in the kitchen, they asked for permission to do so first. They always made sure to communicate with me to ensure that what they were fixing/installing was exactly what I wanted! Their work was done right the first time, and I had very few tweaks that needed to be done afterwards. They even gave me great ideas on how to better use the floor space and lighting in my new kitchen. I couldn't ask for a better experience and when it comes time to do my bathrooms, I'm calling Geoffrey!

Geoffrey did a good job of understanding my needs for the space and translating that into a fair an competitive quote. I'd also like to give a special thanks to his foreman Kelvin and the rest of the crew who did great work and I've got nothing but compliments and the quality of their work from friends, family, and neighbors. They all stayed in good communication throughout the project, and stood by their work by repairing or replacing items that had issues after the work was complete. Their work exceeded my expectations.

VA Premium Cabinets did a fantastic job building a custom pantry and painting our kitchen cabinets. We live in a large townhouse where utilization of space and overall flow are key! The owner, Geoffrey, was on time for the initial appointment and provided a quote by the end of our meeting. Once we nailed down the start date, his crew to include Ronnie & Enrique were extremely professional, on time and thorough throughout the entire process. They took the time to properly prep our home and cleaned everything up afterwords. We absolutely love our new kitchen! The pantry looks like it's been there the entire time and the cabinets make the kitchen open and bright. We recommend VA Premium Cabinets.
