Juan's has a strong knowledge of colors and effect and makes good recommendations if you've not already decided. He can help you make your selections from his phone. He also has great ideas about detail, like outlet covers, door knobs etc. that enhance the overall effect. His skills go far beyond painting and I look forward to exploring other projects with him at a later time.

The job, as described, was completed in a timely fashion. The work Juan did was clean. He took care to repair and paint our basement door, almost destroyed in the recent storm, and now looking fresh and sturdy. Professional and pleasant.

I originally wanted to get my deck repaired and get some of my swollen doors repaired so they can close. Juan for VC Reno came out and proposed a plan for deck repair. He gave me a quote for the deck repair and a separate quote for fixing my interior doors. In the proposal, it stated the cost for deck repair, the materials I would need to get for the deck project and the cost for the door repair. I ended up using them for my door repair first while I researched a little more on what I wanted to do with the deck. Scheduled for 11AM on the day for the door repair and he didnâ t show up until nearly 3PM. Took several hours which I didnâ t mind. However, he ended up cutting my doors unevenly and one of my exterior doors has jagged edges. Not only were the cuts uneven, but after trimming the doors, he didnâ t sand the edges of the doors which caused the doors to rub against the door frame when the doors are closed. What kind of a carpenter would trim down a door and not have sandpaper to even out the edges? There were also damages caused on my walls as he was carrying out the doors to be trimmed. The next day, after realizing the poor workmanship, I asked if he can come back and fix the poor workmanship. We showed him the areas where it was uneven and the doors that were difficult to close. He even laughed at his own workmanship. He said the job was to get your doors to close and now they close. He then added that the doors will never be perfect because my door frames are not squared. This was something we already knew and the frames not being square is one thing but what is the explanation for the uneven edges and cuts made to the doors? He said he would re-fix the doors but a few days went by and there was no word on scheduling the repair. I got back in touch with him and he said he would only come back if I provide painters tape and sandpaper. I understand that these are inexpensive materials but I felt like I shouldnt have to provide these material since the original proposal didnâ t state that and these material was something he shouldâ ve had prepared when initially trimming the doors. So now, I have doors that look like they were trimmed by a child and resistance when closing the doors because they are rubbing against the door frames. They overpromise and under delivered. The lack of experience, integrity and professionalism shouldnâ t come from someone conducting a business and should serve as a warning to prospective clients.
