called Frank first thing Sunday morning - Father's Day to boot - explained that my fan had stopped working although the unit did run and overheated the day before - he knew right away what was wrong (fan motor burn out) - said he would see me in a couple of hours with the part. He got here within 2 hours, identified the issue after examining the unit, replaced the motor after quoting me an acceptable price, and an hour later I had AC again. Pretty important when the outside temps are 110 degrees. My Hero! Highly recommend

Frank went to extra effort to assure the work was done right and ahead of schedule. After 36 years with another firm in this area, Iâ  m so glad to have found them.

Frank came out on the 4th of July to help me. It was really hot and I would have had to leave my house but for his help. My dog could not handle the heat. He was very efficient and nice. I am very thankful for him going out of his way to help me.

Before you hire this a/c service be prepared to pay a minimum of $250 for a job that may take 10 minutes or up to two hrs. to complete. I was not aware of this at the time of hiring this company. It would be nice to know ahead of time.

Well Frank was the only one that would call us back this Fourth of July weekend so that told me a lot about him. He got the job done quick which was to fix our AC since it was in the 90's and we were so glad he came and helped us when nobody else would. Thanks Frank. Prices are reasonable and I would recommend him. I don't know about electrical work because I have not used him for that.
Response from Valley Air and Electric
"Thank you for your review Maria! Glad we could help keep you cool and hope you think of us for future HVAC or electrical needs."

Frank was knowledgeable, efficient, and had the utmost integrity with parts and pricing. Although as a homeowner one never looks forward to appliance or mechanical failures, but we will be long time customers of Valley Air and Electric. Dealing with this business is literally a breath of fresh air!

Please read! If you're in need of a contractor to fix your AC or electrical, please call Frank McCarley at Valley Air & Electric. Our AC went out on Sunday when the temperature was a 109 degrees. I tried calling around to find someone to fix our AC and every business I tried was either closed or booked solid. So I went on Home Advisor which I have used in the past and through there site I found Valley Air and Electric (residential & commercial ) Frank McCarley, he was the only one to call me back within 15 minutes of posting on Home Advisor and even though he had finished his long day of work he came to my house to see if he could fix it but we needed parts so we had to wait until Monday and Frank was here first thing in the morning and fixed it within a half hour. Frank provides excellent customer service.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. NONE OF HIS WORK WAS UP TO CODE AND THE OWNER YELLS AT HIS CUSTOMERS. I originally hired this company to install a mini- split AC after getting their estimate for the entire job (disconnecting the wiring coming from another room, adding outlets, adding circuits for a freezer, a room and the mini-split, installing canned lights in another room and changing out ceiling fans). However, they came back with another bid for the whole project to get the whole job. The bid was not apples to apples and I questioned this and was told they would honor the entire scope of work at that price. Frank, the owner complained to me that he had to take a day off of his job to do the work and that the amount of the bid was too low. He came back the next day to complete the work. When he left, my living room was full of drywall mess that took me 3 hours to clean up. (they never removed my rug, or covered my floors) i ended up paying him $400 over the bid because he was constantly badgering me about the cost of the job, and wouldn't honor his bid. I know I shouldn't have, but at the time, I felt very bullied and just wanted him to leave my home. When the reconstruction tradesman came in, he was unable to do his job, because the work Frank did was not to code. (I have several pictures, but have no way of posting here- but am posting them on Yelp). I called his girlfriend, who is his office manager, and asked how he planned to make it right. Frank called me, yelling at me that the drywall installer was being a "baby about it" and told me to have him contact Frank for the additional cost for fixing his work. My installer said it wasn't his problem, and that I needed to pay him directly, which I completely understood. He did send a person over to cover the junction boxes he left open, but nothing else. As work continued, more shoddy work was discovered. I called again and was told to send an email, and that would determine if Frank would need to come back. I do not want him in my home as he is volatile and a bully. So, I paid another tradesman to again clean up his work. He is an awful electrician, who did nothing to code in my home. He double talks whenever an issue is brought to his attention, raises his voice and yells at his own customers and behaves in a way that makes you feel unsafe. The only positive thing I can say is that I think (hope) the mini-split was correctly installed, but time will tell.
Response from Valley Air and Electric
"Pam - We are sorry you weren?t happy with this project. It can get a little complicated when dealing with multiple bids and companies. The work we completed was all to code - dedicated circuits and breakers for a refrigerator and a mini-split AC unit we also installed. Can lighting installed in the living room was also to code. We stand behind all our projects and, as previously offered, would come out to review and revise any work, as needed."

Well, I could go on and on about what a great job Frank, of Valley Air & Electric, did installing our StealthPro whole house fan. I could tell all about how the installation was timely for arrival and completion. I will say that the system operates flawlessly and keeps us cool! What I have to say is, I expressed to Frank some concerns we have had regarding the lighting components around the house. Frank took a look at the light switches in our daughter's bedroom, and when he discovered that they were functioning but broken (inside the wall), he would not leave until he changed them out!! That is the true measure of my experience and the basis for my rating Valley Air & Electric a 6 on a scale of 1-5! Frank will be installing my 6 house fans next week... and addressing any other cooling, heating, or electrical needs we may have in the future!

The work on the electrical box was fine. The way he rewired the ceiling fan was not so good. The connections were correct but wires were left where they could be abraded by the rotating motor. One wire not also fell off as I was pushing the wires back into the box.
Response from Valley Air and Electric
"We are sorry you weren't completely satisfied. Sometimes it's a challenge to get everything buttoned up the way we normally would when we are working with used materials/parts and trying to keep within a customer's budget. Please let us know if you'd like to purchase replacement parts for the ones that were missing. We'd be happy to come back out to install them."

Frank was very responsive and he worked very hard to get the job done in a very timely and professional manner. The service and craftsmanship were great and he went way out of the way to make sure I was pleased with the job. He was even able to do some work that other electricians told me was not possible. I would highly recommend him.

"After attempting to move a junction box over from behind a mirror 16 inches, opening it to find 8 different sets of romex coming from who knows where that had 50, 70 volts and some were completely dead and some were just a splice point so we ended up rewiring everything to reach the new desired spot and we replaced and fixed the wiring at a different location as well 4 hrs and 2 new gfi's for $300.00.."

Competent, professional and flexible. I would recommend them to my friends and neighbors. Brian was comfortable to work with and good at trouble shooting. His work was neat and he did a good clean-up at the end of each day. Valley View is now my "Go-to" electrical company.
