The customer service provided was excellent!! The move went exceptionally well. The crew that was assigned were professional, courteous, and performed an amazing job! I will definitely keep Vanguard Moving Express in mind when scheduling my next move and have already referred their services to a former neighbor.

Moving in state or out of state? Go with VanGuard Moving Express. Reggie and Fernando arrived early, had the foresight to bring a larger van though a smaller van would have been the way to go based our assessment of our belongings (which was *way* off), and worked efficiently and ceaselessly to load our belongings onto the van in VA and unload them in PA. They were *clearly* seasoned professionals and, having fed them and ensured that they remained hydrated throughout (please take care of your movers), made the move as seamless as an interstate move could possibly be. We, without hesitation, *highly* recommend VanGuard moving Express!

Had a great experience with these movers. Jennifer was awesome to communicate with and made scheduling super easy. The moving guys were so nice and professional. Great team work and great service. Would definitely use again.

DO NOT HIRE THEM!!! They will take their sweet time, moving as slowly as possible to charge as much as possible. They will damage all of your furniture and destroy your wood floors. And they will refuse to remove items from their truck until you pay them. Absolute WORST experience ever. Do yourself a favor and do not hire this company.

When you call they give you a low quote so you will hire them. They do not tell you about moving insurance when you book the move. When the movers come they tell you that you have to take their insurance. The sales person told the moving crew that we had 562 sq. Feet condo and a pickup from another location. It took 14 hrs. to move our 760 sq ft condo and 10 × 15 storage unit.

Dear Wendy, Sorry to hear about your experience with us! The quote was based on the inventory list you provided over the phone which did NOT include the storage unit that you DID NOT disclose over the phone. Your initial quote was for 12 hrs of labor. However, it took movers to complete the job including full packing and repacking of your belongings in the storage (which was not disclosed to our sales team prior moving date) up to 14 hrs. Over the phone, you told us that you will be prepared and that all your dining, kitchen, and personal belongings will be packed into boxes. The foreman guy never was told that you had a 562 sq. ft condo unit. All he had is the inventory list of your items. And we never estimate jobs based on total square footage. So, this is misleading information. And you knew that it was a fully packed and stacked 26 ft box truck. Yes, it takes time to complete the packing, loading, and offloading of a 3-bedroom home and a storage unit with a driving time between Gaithersburg MD, and Water Falls, WV during the rush hour! Just driving one way it took them almost 2 hrs! Another thing we would like to mention is that parking condition was another constraint for the movers, they could not back up the truck all the way to your garage because it was too steep which could lead into an accident. Drivers are instructed not to take any risks and to park where it is safer. Safety is a priority! Thus it added another extra time to walk up from the truck to your front door. So, we think that your review is not based on fair facts and doesn't reflect the whole process including all mentioned nuances above. Reggie and his team were fantastic. It was our first time moving an entire house (had just done apartments or rented rooms before) and through COVID we had collected a lot of things. We also have a newborn, to add to the complication/stress. But Noreen was incredibly helpful in getting us set up, and Reggie and his team worked efficiently and carefully to get the job done. They brought the right size truck for a city move with our size house, the right team to get it done in a day, and they were fair in their pricing. I would definitely recommend them!
