Castleview Home Inspection, LLC

My experience with Castleview Home Inspections left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the reliability of their services. We hired them to inspect a home we were purchasing, expecting a thorough evaluation to ensure we were making a sound investment. However, the inspection report failed to uncover significant issues that later surfaced, putting our safety and financial well-being at risk. During the inspection, Castleview identified some electrical issues and tree roots in the sewer lines, which was appreciated. However, they only casually mentioned a potential roof problem and suggested we could seek further evaluation by a roofer. Unfortunately, due to the downplay of the issue, we neglected to do so until after closing, only to discover a multitude of serious roofing issues, including mold growth, a sizable hole, and a broken rafter. These oversights could have been catastrophic if left unaddressed. Even more alarming was the lack of attention to detail regarding other critical aspects of the property. The fact that they missed a toilet that wasn't even properly mounted to the floor speaks volumes about the thoroughness of their inspection process. Such negligence raises questions about the competence and professionalism of their inspectors. Upon expressing our dissatisfaction to Castleview's CEO, we were met with a disappointing response. Instead of taking responsibility for their oversights, he attempted to deflect blame by pointing to a vague disclaimer in the report. Furthermore, his offer to buy us dinner in exchange for our silence was insulting and indicative of a company more concerned with preserving their reputation than addressing legitimate grievances. It's disheartening to think that Castleview may be buying off dissatisfied customers to maintain their higher rating, rather than rectifying their shortcomings and ensuring quality service. This experience has eroded my trust in their ability to conduct thorough and reliable home inspections, and I would caution others against relying on their services without thorough scrutiny. In conclusion, my experience with Castleview Home Inspections was nothing short of disappointing, and I would strongly advise potential customers to proceed with caution.

1) They didnâ t catch standing water in the basement. My dad saw that and the inspector seemed surprised. 2) Gave them a second chance on a second property and they said a deck was in good condition. A support collapsed the first day in the house. 3) I was told my water heater expansion tank had no pressure and it had been tested. I bought a new tank only to find the previous tank was actually perfectly charged to 40 psi. I believe my inspector never actually checked it. My advice, donâ t use them. If you do, hopefully you have someone who can show up and knows what to look for because theyâ ll miss any big problem.

Very professional very thorough and and is available in my timeframe. I could never ask for anything better. Would highly recommend them.

We hired Castleview Home Inspection to perform a Radon and Meth test. They were timely, communicated well and priced competitively and easy to work with.

They were very friendly and professional.

Very professional

James came on time as promised, rare here in San Antonio.Did a great inspection and obviously takes great pride in his work.

Termites come and go but if they are there, you need to act fast. Fortunately my insects have moved on but the thorough and professional information I received to prevent their return will promote regular checkups and treatments on this house and future historical projects with pier and beam foundations.

James is very professional answered all of our questions did a complete inspection for termites. His company did not pressure us to but any expensive plans but gave us ideas on how to fix the problem. Would definitely use them again.
