We hired them to repair and paint plaster on walls. They did an excellent job. You cannot tell where the holes and cracks in the walls were. They match the paint color and the ceiling texture perfectly.

Velasco was great to work with. Their quality was good, and the overall value for the money was great. I would hire them again. I had them do a bunch of interior work including drywall & texture, trim and molding, and paint.

Well, this is not the worst we have seen is what the painters told me when they came after Velasco Remodeling did my drywall. Not exactly what you want to hear when you pay a company thousands of dollars. Velasco Remodeling was below expectations by a lot. I wish I would have gone with one of the other quotes. I will give 3 reasons I did not enjoy working with them. 1. Quality: They worked quickly which was great at the time but did below expectation work. They tried to pass off bad corners and edges and poor texturing. Even after having them come back after the painters showed me what needed to be fixed, they did not put enough mud on the corners so you can see the bumps, I can see the tape lines in every room, and some of the ceiling tapes is coming off already. They also left huge cuts in my wall where they missed an outlet box and did not repair them. 2. Transparency: Every company I got a quote from included scrap and trash removal in their bid. Velasco tried to get me to pay an extra $300 to have them remove their scrap pieces. If I did not pay that they were going to leave a huge heap of trash next to my window for me to deal with. Took a lot of negotiating for them to finally take the trash away. 3. Unprofessional They came in to give me a quote and they spent about 5 minutes in my basement before asking me what other companies had quoted me, they then said well we cannot do it for that low but we can do it for x. Did not ask me any questions about what I needed. Later they had to increase their bid because they did not ask if I was going to tile the shower which needed special drywall. I almost had them paint but the quote process was the same, walked in... 5 minutes later says it will be x amount. No questions on the quality grade of paint I wanted or anything else. Thankfully the painters I went with spent 45 minutes going through all the options and giving me their recommendations. I would advise choosing another company and hopefully, save a huge headache.

Very fast acting and very responsive

I hired these guys through home advisor for basement drywall. They were very responsive from the first phone call to the final payment. I give 4.5 stars for quality because no work is going to be 5 star with budget and time constraints. The scheduling was a little crazy but we did the sheet rock during covid and the thanksgiving holiday. They were great to work with and have in our home during the project.

Once the work started, it went pretty seamless. Communication was GREATLY lacking until they wanted payment. It took nearly two weeks to get scheduled because nobody ever seemed to be around that could answer when we were scheduled. But took less than 24 hours for them to contact me once the job was done. Initial estimate I was told was low, so I rated them high on value for the money. I went with the company because the initial estimator was very professional, handed me a binder with their license and insurance and everything. But everything after that was pretty rough for scheduling and following up. Not sure if it is standard, but find it interesting it is the second company I have used that uses my own broom to clean up dirty mud and drywall, thereby ruining my broom. Overall, the job got done and minus a few heavily mudded areas I had to re-sand, the work quality was acceptable.

They were quick to respond to my request for an estimate for a small job I needed done immediately. I was very pleased with the level of communication during and customer service after the job to be sure I was happy with the work. I highly recommend Velasco!

Carlos and William are two of the finest and most honest individuals I have met in the construction industry. We were put in a devastating situation because renters had caused thousands of dollars of damage to our property and refused to take responsibility. Knowing we had insurance coverage, they could have easily taken advantage of the situation and matched the bid of the restoration company. Instead, they gave us their regular pricing and saved us $500!! When it comes to drywall and painting, we will have no one else in our home but Velasco Remodeling.
