Hired for cutting out bank and widening drive way plus spreading gravel. Also filling in a small ornamental pond 8’ by 5’ deep.

Steve C your review of October 2025 coincides with us hiring him to do a driveway job, trench some power and water lines and clean up work which was previously paid for and not completed. Oct 25th provided an estimate, required a $7500 deposit for work to be started on Oct 29th. Did not complete the work, will not return the deposit. had a to hire another contractor to complete so permits could be completed, caused me to receive fines from L&I for delays in temp elect. completion. His words were its not possible to refund!!! My next step is filing a complaint with L&I, and following up with a lawsuit for return of funds. Highly disappointed and angry!!!!!!!

I?m not sure if I caught this pro at a bad time or not, but he was initially very quick to respond and promising and had great reviews . He had the best price on the project of the quotes I had received at that time. I accepted the job. He said he would he done with my project in one day, one day turned to over two weeks. He claimed his whole team had illnesses on multiple days, couldn?t come during rain, and holidays or other things came up. At the end of the day the project looks good, but wasn?t exactly what I asked for. There was lack of communication for each day when it would be completed or if it was even done, and I had to reach out myself for clarification. Despite the lack of clarification , he was quick to ask for a deposit and full payment. After I asked for what wasn?t done right to be fixed, he said he would come back to finish up and never showed up again. Again, I?m not sure if I caught him at a bad time, but it wasn?t the best experience.

I hired Versant to level out my backyard, which had a pretty deep dip on one side that made it hard to use the space. They got the job done quickly, and the difference is night and day. The whole yard feels usable and open now—it’s like having a brand new space. Super happy with how it turned out!

Paul is a very pleasant personality. Unfortunately he does come when he says he is going to show up. He did not complete our job, but was paid for the entire project. He does not follow industry standards.. for example he put an irrigation shut off valve attached to the hot water heater in the garage rather than at the water meter. He did not put any drainage behind the retaining wall he built. He never finished the irrigation system and the sprinkler heads he did put in were several inches above the ground.

Communication with contractor was poor and work quality was sub par. Buyer Beware
