We made the mistake of hiring Versatile Electrical Services for our major electrical project based on their quality work as a subcontractor during our renovations. From the beginning, we should have known better. We were asked to establish a price, not having much idea how much the project should run. We then went into a contract without establishing deadlines. That was certainly our mistake. Carlos has a habit of finding reasons why he cannot come to work on our project seemingly once a week. Between his truck breaking down, his crew getting sick, or just plain not showing, the project took far longer than expected and we ended up mis-timing other work being done. The workmanship that VES performed was certainly below standard. Crooked switches and outlets, loose fixtures, and gaps on cover plates. VES replaced our main breaker box, plus added a new box. That work was done properly, other than not labeling the breakers. Due to the schedule delays, and despite our pleas to communicate with the other contractor doing our attic renovation, VES failed to connect wires and complete circuits, leaving outlets, switches, and lights inoperable. Even work that did not depend on coordination with other workers was done poorly, such as the light in our shower not being connected to power. We ended up with about 80% of the work being done, but were so fed up with the delays and poor work that when Carlos stopped communicating with us, we just let it go, figuring even if we had him (actually his little brother) come back, the work would be sub-standard and not worth our time. Despite the other high reviews, I would strongly advise against hiring VES for any major electrical projects. They may be responsive and quick with small jobs, but that may be why ours suffered. VES is so busy collecting fees for easy work that they are unable to handle a bigger job. I have photos that I am unable to attach to this review.

We had Carlos come to our house built in the 70’s to help with an array of updates/installs after finding his company on Google. The wiring that the initial builders had in place was quite complicated and did not always make sense, but Carlos and his team were able to resolve the multiple issues we had. They were fairly priced for the high quality work they do. Very professional and down to earth people that truly want to work with you and ensure you’re satisfied when the job is done. Very happy and thankful and will definitely use Versatile Electrical for projects in the future!

Arnold and Jared arrived on time; weâ re professional, friendly, and completed the install expertly. This is the third project I had VESLLC do for me. Extremely happy with their work and cleaning up after. Highly Recommend them!! Already thinking of a few other projects for them to do. We found Versatile Electric through our general contractor who was building our screened-in porch. Carlos and his brothers came on the job to do the lights, outlets, fan, and three 1800W infrared heaters -- a complex and multi-faceted job requiring close coordination with the other trades involved in the project. We also asked them to replace our house's main power panel to allow room for additional circuits (including a dedicated 240V circuit for our electric car charge point in the garage) *and* add an auxiliary panel with an external connection point so we could plug our 7KW generator into the house to power six circuits during major grid failures. Carlos did all this work flawlessly and trained me how to operate the generator in microgrid mode safely and effectively. Two thumbs up for Versatile Electric! We love our porch and also can rest a bit easier knowing we'll be safer and more comfortable during any prolonged power outage.

Carlos did a great job with wiring our new screened porch with outlets and lights. He also was happy to provide extra service not part of the contract: e.g moving a heavy patio table. Highly recommend him.

We hired Versatile Electrical to redo the electric in our basement for a remodel. They were very responsive and even came out for a qoute the same day. His prices were extremely reasonable for the job he was performing. I will definitely be recommending him to everyone that needs an electrician.

In the past, my husband and I have been somewhat disappointed in the work ethic and service that many different contractors have provided to us in the past. Our faith has been renewed with Carlos and his team. He came in by himself on a Thursday and reviewed the work we wanted done (replace four bathroom exhaust fans and replace a faulty ceiling fan switch). He provided a reasonable estimate, advised how much time it would take and that he could complete the work the next day. He contacted us as he was picking up the exhaust fans to ensure what he was picking up would meet our needs. He came back the next day with his team and got to work. We found him to be extremely honest, reliable, punctual and he completed the work beyond our expectations. He and his team where also very cognizant of safety during this time of coronavirus, wearing masks and distancing 100% of the time. In addition, we also appreciated that they laid tarp and wore shoe covers as we have ivory carpeting. We were so pleased that we have already provided them with additional work, replacing an attic fan. After going into the attic and determining that the motor has burned out of the existing fan, he is researching the ability to just replace the motor instead of replacing the entire fan. This is to determine what would be less costly to us--which frankly is a breath of fresh air from a contractor. Carlos and his company, Versatile Electrical Services, is now our "go-to" company for our electric needs.

While I don't have the expertise to evaluate electrical work, I feel that this is a good and reliable company. The price was extremely reasonable, the tech was on time, courteous and professional. Also, they were available next day. I would highly recommend Versatile to a friend or family member.
