Veterans Lawn Sprinkler

I used them to winterize our sprinkler system in the fall 2016. In spring 2017 when I activated the system I discovered two sprinkler heads (in the lowest part of the yard) had frozen and cracked during the winter. I replaced them at my own expense and then called Veterans Lawn Sprinkler to tell them what happened and ask for at least a partial refund. The person who answered the phone said the owner would call me but he never did. I called four more times.... talked to someone twice and left a message several times without any callback. The WHOLE POINT of winterization is to make sure there is no water in the lines or heads. There obviously WAS water remaining since the heads froze. My guess is that they did not blow the lines out long enough. I was VERY disappointed that the owner was seemingly ducking my calls. So much for the "core values" talked about on their web site and in their literature. UPDATE: After two weeks and after many calls and messages plus a BBB complaint, I was contacted by the business owner who expressed extreme concern that this situation had been allowed to fester for two weeks. He said it was the first he had heard of it. He sent someone to the house who was also extremely apologetic. I was offered a sincere apology and two sprinkler heads to replace the ones I purchased to replace the cracked heads. This resolved the basic issue to my satisfaction. However, I never got any explanation of why their internal communication had so completely broken down. Although I was impressed by their (belated) efforts to make things right I am unsure if I will use them again.

Arrived on time and turned on sprinkler system. Had to return to install an above ground leaking sprinkler head located in a rock bed. Needed to adjust sprinklers.

In June 2016, the owner Jon Thomas and, his brother, Kevin outdid all the previous contractors we had for anything over the past 30-plus years. I wish there were more companies like theirs.
