Vic took on our project with heart and determination to remodel our unfinished basement and turned it into an amazing Make-A-Wish ready game room for our son. With dedication, knowledge and detailed workmanship he produced an amazing rec room area. Vic works hard at finding quality material while staying within budget. He offers many ideas and great recommendations. The custom made desk Vic designed with Louisville Slugger bats for legs and tile counter top is the perfect center piece of the room and will accent our son's "Wish" theme perfectly!! Our son and we can not be any happier.

Victor used his knowledge to fix a storm door that wouldn't close. Several other repair people had been to my house and were unable to correct the problem. It required some outside-the-box thinking and Victor determinedly stuck with it until we got the desired outcome. He also did exactly what he told me he would do in terms of calling ahead to say when he was on his way and showing up on time. All of that is appreciated!

We hired Victor to remodel our kitchen. He put in new cabinets, floor, window, slider and removed walls to make it and open space. This is the 4th job he does for us. We continue hiring him because he delivers quality work with a great eye for detail. We would recommend him to anyone looking to get quality work done.

I hired Victor to replace a sliding door and rotten beam above. He identified a nearby gutter caused the rotten beam and fixed that too. I am pleased with the quality of his work and would be happy to work with him again.

Victor & his partner were hired to replace 4 doors total. 2 outside & 2 storms. Victor was very honest & upfront and advised that the front storm door was totally fine , but that the hardware was just put on incorrectly. He didnâ t have to say anything but he did. Not all contractors would be that honest in my opinion. They ended up just replacing 3 doors & all the hardware as well as THREE coats of paint until it looked perfect to them. Victor is very meticulous about his work and does not cut corners. His attention to quality & detail was evident from beginning to end. Everything they did came out & looked great ! We are very pleased. His quote was extremely competitive compared to others who quoted much higher. Highly recommend !

BEWARE LADIES BEWARE I had ugly carpet badly soiled by a previous owner's pet. The job was to remove the carpet and trim, seal the floor, and place laminate and new trim I am a single female senior citizen, new to CT with no local support Mr. Pires told me that all work would be documented in a contract which would be signed by me before beginning. He provided me with contract 1873 for: Bedroom Flooring &Removal of baseboard moulding Removal of carpeting Removal of padding Removal of tack strips Priming of sub-floor with kilz (2 coats) Disposal of all debris Which I signed and returned After that was completed, he sent me contract 1874 for: Purchase and delivery of flooring Removal of closet doors &Removal of baseboard moulding Removal of door casing Removal of shelving in closet Installation of laminate flooring Disposal of all debris Checks added to highlight duplicate billing. I told him there was a duplicate billing and the contract needed to be fixed before I could sign it and we could proceed with work He demanded that the flooring be put down as he had already paid for it I let him proceed as I still expected he would resolve his billing error He ignored my repeated requests to correct the billing He demanded to continue work He would show up at my house without invitation and repeatedly know on the doors both front and back and repeatedly ring the doorbell. This continued despite me telling him in person, through text, and through email Text below is copied from sent emails. DO NOT COME TO MY HOUSE. NO MORE WORK We need to get the money straight first. Please price the 3 modified contract I sent you. That did not work. So I requested a return if funds I had provided for future work when I thought he would correct his billing error. Refund $2780 ASAP No additional work will be done as you refuse to provide a contract I can sign He ignored my request for a return of funds for future work that would no longer be done. He continued to send notes saying he would be at my house to work at this date and time even though I clearly said NO MORE WORK. At a loss for any possible resolution, I filed a complaint with the BBB He continued to contact me despite even after I filed the BBB complaint. Through BBB, I was able to obtain a refund, but he threatened that he is contacting an attorney because he has never had bad reviews in 19 years. I am 65 and have been remodeling old houses since my 30s, in 3 different states with multiple contractors, plumber's, electricians, painters, etc. I have NEVER had anyone refuse to correct a billing error, OR repeatedly show up at my home without invitation, OR threaten mevas he is now doing threaten with attorney for his lack of response to a billing error I was not planning on writing a negative review until he began threatening me publicly in BBB communications and lying. He appears to have no boundaries when angry I want all single women to BEWARE of this person His bullying, stalking behavior is frightening All of this because he wouldn't correct his billing error or return funds for work that wasn't even started Definitely learned a new lesson. Never move forward expecting reasonable professional responses and interactions. I am hoping this frightening interaction is coming to closure, but given his threats I doubt it. ************************** I am left feeling unsafe in my new home in a new state where I hoped to be enjoying my retirement. Victor did an excellent job enclosing our porch to make it a 3 season room! His approach was professional starting with a detailed task list of what needed to be done. His quote was reasonable and suggested changes to our plans based on his experience. The workmanship done both inside and outside was excellent, the final results exceeded our expectations.
