Victorian Chimney Service

I contacted Joe at Victorian Chimney for some chimney work and the person he sent out gave me an estimate for the work requiring a deposit of $4700. I called Joe to be sure that the person he sent was legitimate and Joe vouched for him, so I paid the deposit. That was 5 months ago and the work was never done; the person Joe sent kept giving reasons for not doing the work (car accident, death in the family, etc.), and then simply stopped replying to calls and texts. At first, Joe was sympathetic but then he, too, stopped returning my calls and, in fact, blocked my number. I will now have to take them both to small claims court. What a terrible experience. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

They came in December 2015 to clean and inspect and in March 2016 I get a HOA violation which I tried to fight but the work had to get done so I wouldn't be fined. I just feel the cost to go up and paint the chase cover was a bit much

I felt taken after this service. It was $150 dollars and they were there maybe 10 minutes. Maybe!. I do not know much about Chimney Cleaning but the main guy could have explained things better. He just stood there asking for the check while his guys zoomed in and out. Maybe I am exaggerating a bit. But I just did not feel right. For the time they were here and what they did it should have only been like a $30 dollar charge. As stated on an earlier comment, they did cover the carpet area, but there was soot stuff left all through our entry way. The Gutter cleaning people we hired was only $120 and this guy worked his butt off for 2 hours.

They were very easy to work with and very informative through the process.

We had our chimney swept and although they covered our carpets for protection, there was a giant soot stain on our brand new carpets when they were done. I didn't have to throw a fit. They immediately called the owner, who got on the phone with me and he scheduled a carpet cleaning service to come out and clean our carpets to our satisfaction (on their dime).

We attempted to schedule with them three times. The first time, they asked to reschedule, the second time, they called an hour before to confirm and then didn't show up. We told them we had to be out of the house by 1:30 and they called at 1:20 asking if they could swing by. The third time, they did not show up and we cannot reach them via phone. they have good prices so we were willing to wait three weeks to try and get them but we wasted three afternoons waiting.

They did a great job, and restored life into a neglected fire place by previous owners. Fair price, don't try to sell you things you don't need and were professional and knowledgeable! Will use for all my fireplace needs!

Quick response. Arrived on time. Inspected our chimney and advised we didn't need it cleaned, thus saving us some shekels. Friendly.

The person who answered the phone as well as the gentlemen that performed the service were all very polite. My chimney was not too dirty, so it did not take them long to clean it. I did have leftover ashes from the fires I made last winter and they cleaned it up for me. Much appreciated! Good value for the price paid.

Their work and professionalism on site was terrific. They saved me *alot* of money by making repairs instead of advocating for replacement. Unfortunately, their scheduling was a big problem. They were 1 1/2 hours late to do the estimate, and a whole day late (called several times during the day they were going to do the work and finally called at 5 p.m. to say they'd come the next day) with the actual work. I would recommend them for their work and cost, but be prepated to wait for it!

Great work! So good I actually wrote a letter of recommendation, which is something I have never done before as most other companies I have worked with have been crummy. I would definitely recommend them.
