Lawn Care - Maintain and Mow a Lawn
They were supposed to give me a quote before starting the work. When I came home from an appt. the next day, they were there & had already finished the work. He charged me $565 for a perfectly flat, very small yard for just blowing the leaves. I felt taken advantage of, the price was SO ridiculous!!!! I paid him because what he did was good, but I felt like he totally took advantage of an old lady on a small gov. pension!!! In 45 years, I have NEVER paid more than $300 for a TOTAL YARD CLEANUP!!! They might be good, but this was highway robbery. I later found out that a lot of the bigger lawn companies are charging anywhere from $500-$800 for leave blowing gutters, so I guess this is the rate for faux experts in the area who can get away with it. My lawn guy just quit on me, so I was desperate, but in the past I paid $35 for mowing/leaves & $100 for gutters. Thats what i was expecting to pay.
Response from Vigil Landscaping and Contractors, Inc.
"Thank You Diane, I appreciate you leaving a review. I apologize for your experience. You told me that you were unhappy with the previous person you hired and you needed the job done right away. In order to make that possible and to expedite your request I had told how much the price would be. I have to pay for the dump, the lead, my employee's, equiptment and gas to drive out to where you live. I know I did a good job on your property, front and back, garden beds nice and clean. Also I know that I left your sidewalks nice and clean as well and you were happy. After I cleaned the leaves I did cut your grass because it was tall. Your review does reflect my quality of work I am sorry I could not help out more with the pricing."

Wilfredo and team of 4 worked efficiently to prepare lawn for full re-seeding- and applying seed and cover. Good interactions, no problem in having Wilfredo come out to prepare estimate- and though too early to tell (seasonal) we hope the re-seeding will work well.
