The cons outweighed the pros: 1) Jonathan was pleasant during the quote. His price seemed more than fair and he seemed eager to start. He spoke highly of what his crew could do. 2) He asked for $1,200 for supplies, but neglected to use all the supplies we paid for. 3) He texted me ELEVEN times over the course of 2 days about starting, even after I advised him we were still discussing it. 4) There were parts of the projects that were done well, but the quality control was simply not there: Trash left on the property, paint splatters on decorative rocks and edging bricks and a window screen, and a 3-ft section of trim left hanging off the back of the house. It took over a week to come back to "fix" everything. 5) They removed a 7-ft Japanese Maple without final approval, jammed up a hose storage box, and left outlines of cinder blocks on the driveway because they didn't move them before the power wash. 6) He asked for additional money before the job was done. WILL NOT USE AGAIN.

I signed the contract with (NAME REMOVED) Painting on Friday, 7/10 in the amount of $4200. The scope of work included the following: (1) skim coat and sand walls in living room, dining room, stairs and small hallway upstairs. Paint the entire condo walls and ceilings except for 1 bathroom. (NAME REMOVED) asked for $1500 down for supplies so I wrote him a check on that day. Then on Sunday 7/12 he asked for an addtional $400 since because the check would not clear until Tuesday and he said he did not have enough money to buy the supplies so they could get started on Monday. On Monday I sent $400 thru Paypal. They arrived at my house around 9:00 on Monday. (NAME REMOVED) the man that does the dry wall work began putting mud on the walls upstairs. He worked for a little while then the started prepping the spare bedroom for paint. He moved everything in the center of the room, piled stuff on the bed, and covered it all with plastic. Then he taped a piece of plastic over the closet opening. My condo has 2 bedrooms, one that I sleep in and one that I watch TV, practice tai chi, and exercise in. I have not been able to use that room since Sunday night on 7/12. I only have 1 TV. I did not say anything because I kept thinking each day he would work longer than just 4 hours and would have the mudding and sanding completed so that he could begin painting going forward. But that did not happen. Each day my home became more and more poluted with dry wall dust. By Thursay night I was starting to get sick and by Friday morning I was sick. On Wednesday, 7/15 (NAME REMOVED) reached out again to ask for more money. I sent him $1000 thru PayPal. Paypal held $500 back and so (NAME REMOVED) refunded the $500 back to me and on Thursday I Venmod him $800 (the $500 that he did not receive thru Paypal and an additional $300 for a paint color change). As of Thursday evening, (NAME REMOVED) had gotten all of the walls skim coated except the dining room and kitchen. Then on Friday no one showed up to work. I called and he said his dads truck had broken down and they had to get it repaired before (NAME REMOVED) could come to work. Then he had the audacity to ask me for $300 to repair his dads truck!!! I told him no more money until the job is done. Later, again he asked for the money and I refused. So basically (NAME REMOVED), his workman, has worked a total of 16 hours this week. On Thursday evening, I took all the paper up downstairs, thru the stairwell and in the hallway upstairs. I swept all the remaining drywall dust up. Then vacummed and moped twice. A large ladder was left on the landing of the stairwell that I could not move. It is inexcusable that they left me in that situation. After calling Angie and fileing a complaint, I went back again to the reviews for Villalobos Painting and all of the reviews were very positive and many were recent. There is nothing that I would like more than to give him a 5 star review and recommed him to other people. Going forward, if we are able to move forward, I want to sit down with (NAME REMOVED)and do a time line of the scope of work that is to be completed each day and I want more than 1 person doing the work. The job was supposd to take a week , then he said a week and a half and that is not going to happen. Friday Jonathon told me that they could not continue working until his dads truck was fixed as (NAME REMOVED)depended on his Dad for transportation. I asked him if he could bring (NAME REMOVED) and his responce was, and No mam, I spend the week end with my kids, I never work on the week ends. I suggested that he put the kids in the truck and drive out to my place with (NAME REMOVED) but he was not interested. I will say that (NAME REMOVED) has done a fanastic job of skim coating my walls and the hallway has a very high ceiling.

Jonathan and his men did an outstanding job on our home. They completely transformed it in a day. They showed up one day cleaned everything, powerwashed exterior of home,and the next day they put on a show! Everything was properly prepped and masked off and painted! All materials were picked up following the job. We are super happy how it turned out and would 100 percent recommend letting them get you a quote. Thank you guys so much. We love they way out home turned out. 5 star company here. I'll definitely will be a returning customer. 💪

Jonathon and his crew did a great job! Jonathon responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. He was helpful with paint choices as well. We will use them again for future projects.

Remove popcorn from ceiling and kitchen and retextured. Painted kitchen ceiling and living room ceiling. John did an excellent job at understanding what I needed done. He was also very understanding when I asked him to do a few extra things for me.

Great group of guys. They were on time and do good work. I couldn't have asked for easier people to work with. I will for sure be hiring them again

Excellent work at a great price! If you need someone for your next home project, consider these guys. They are quick to respond, quote the job and get the work done. I had them paint my home exterior and replace some siding. My siding damage was worse than expected, they were able to pivot on the spot to accommodate my needs without delaying or making massive changes to the original quote. I feel like they didn't cut corners and actually brought my house up to code. I look forward to hiring them again for my next project. It really helps having someone affordable and trustworthy to go to. Highly recommended.

Jonathan had a crew of four was always on time. Got the job done. Professionally would definitely higher than for. Future projects paint in my cabinets and Walls, and everything looked great.
