I hired Bill after temporarily signing up with the wrong company that dug out my entire side wall, leaving me exposed, and plans that would have damaged my house and cost me a fortune. I was having a very difficult time knowing who to trust at that time. I initially hired Bill because of his extensive years as a mason and thought he would know best how to deal with a brick house with a leaky basement. In a short time I was able to put my full trust in him and “let go.” He acted quickly to save my south/exposed wall and put things back together in a way that only a true mason would know how to do correctly, and fixed the grading on the west wall that was trapped under three patios. He also installed window wells, two gorgeous glass block windows, and a drain near my back door. Knowing that he had my back and truly cared about fixing my home was worth more than I can express, and he was very reasonably priced. I will definitely hire him again. Thank you, Bill🌸

Bill did an excellent job with our wall repair. The exterior brick wall was moving but still in good condition. Bill secured it so we will not have any more problems. He was fair on price and we will definitely use him again for more projects. He knows his stuff!

Billâ s work was excellent. We have a 30â long stone retaining wall that was filled with bindweed, and had dropped from the foundation. Bindweed has been eradicated non-chemically, and everything is regraded to slope away from the house. He also fixed the wall in a couple of spots. Itâ s not fancy, but looks beautiful.

Bill at Vintage Stone Works has an amazing depth and breadth of experience. He has built homes from the ground up and now focuses on rehabbing. We have lived in our house for 16 years, and we had fairly severe cracks in our brick and mortar. Bill fixed those to the point where it's hard to even notice where they were fixed. He also was able to address structural issues by installing steel brackets for additional support. He is a skilled craftsman and also an artist. He got paint that matches with the color our brick almost perfectly. Our house is over 60 years old, so he even got 2 slightly different kinds of paint to address differences caused by UV weathering! Bill also was able to fix the bricks that had settled/broken off our chimney - he installed a new concrete footer under the chimney and doweled into the house foundation so that the chimney will never move again! I would absolutely recommend Bill for brick work, structural work, and concrete work. He even did a couple things that weren't in his scope and didn't charge anything for it - like some additional grading work around the house. Bill has great pride in his work, and he was excited to bring my house back to life. When he was done, my house looked 30 years younger!

Vintage Stoneworks, LLC has done a couple of projects for us since we purchased our home. Last year, we hired them for a swale which was completed extremely quickly and thoroughly. You could tell this was something they had expertise in. We then hired them to help build us a gorgeous flagstone deck in our backyard. Bill is so kind and helpful in explaining details of his work and why things are needed, as well as staying in touch regarding next steps and continued maintenance. This a great company. Very knowledgeable and thorough. In addition, Bill has a creativity that is hard to find. It's refreshing to meet someone who cares as if it was their home.

Bill and his son did a fantastic job matching and replacing bricks in an inside brick wall. I could not be more happy with their work. They were so courteous and professional and their response time was phenomenal. I highly recommend them and would hope they would help me with future projects. They are great!!!!

Bill was great. We are first time homeowners And had an issue with grading in our yard. Bill provided a fair estimate and did great work at re-sloping the ground and installing a French drain under our sod. He was very patient with all of my questions and went above and beyond to make sure that the project was done right. He also pointed out some issues on the exterior of our house where maintenance had previously been lacking. He showed me how to take care of them before they turned into expensive maintenance problems. Will happily work with Bill again for any issues down the road!

I hired Bill for a project in my backyard. Bill is like family, so nice and friendly and he did an amazing job with the area that needed to be leveled and landscaped along with rebuilding my retaining wall. I never thought it would come out so awesome but he doesn't just fix things, he get's creative and it's a work of art. He treated my project like this was his house and the end result is AMAZING. The amounts of time he spent with us (waiting for mortar to set up) and coming back daily multiple times is something you can't get from just anyone. He is a true artist. I also had him fix the Mortar in front of the house and am now using him for the chimney area where Racoons have played havoc up there. He is a keeper for sure and I will continue using him as long as he wants us too. Very rare to find Bill and I appreciate him and his son tremendously!

I hired Bill to resolve the grading issues I had under my deck. He came in with a detailed plan to fix the problem. He’s extremely knowledgeable with his work. I would hire Vintage Stoneworks again if I have any other issues arise.

Bill was easy to communicate with and took the time to explain the details of the project and the process. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

We hired Bill primarily because he offered a plan for repairing our sinking flagstone patio steps. We had had several other contractors out to inspect and advise. Nobody was interested in taking on this project. There was lots of conflicting advice...tear it out and start over, hire mud jackets, hire push pier operators, etc. Only Bill said he could repair the steps and return them to close to their original form. And he did it in a very clever way. He carefully removed the middle steps and drilled holes into the concrete slab until he was able to split it in half. He then used large pry bars to raise the upper portion. He filled in the gap with stones and concrete and then reinstalled the original flagstones. The end result looks very much as it did fifteen years ago when originally built. Bill advised us that in addition to the sinking patio steps, there were several other problem areas needing attention, mostly having to do with preventing water damage. But the biggest additional problem he discovered was that the brick siding on our house had been installed with no anchors to the walls!!! In some places, the brick was separating from the wall and there were gaps at the top where water could get in. Bill reinforced the brick walls with many large screws. Amazingly, you cannot even see them unless you really look close. I am so glad we discovered Vintage Stoneworks. The disasters Bill has likely saved us from are horrifying to contemplate. Thank you, Bill, for all you did to improve and protect our home.

Did a very good job on grading project

Our house has typical crummy clay soil which drains poorly and we were concerned about our foundation. We also had a prominent negative slope towards the house so we hired Bill and his team at vintage Stoneworks. Bill is a wonderfully knowledgeable contractor with a great sense of humor and hard work ethic. He knew about subtle concerns or pitfalls and fixed them without making me feel like it was a way to make additional money but more out of true concern. Bill was often on the work site doing the more complicated tasks and he had reliable and friendly workers who assisted him. I would 100% hire Bill if you need help with drainage, resloping or repairing retaining walls. Thanks Bill!!!

Bill and his crew were absolutely phenomenal! It is rare that someone thoroughly exceeds your expectations. Usually, you're just grateful if they meed your needs. Bill presented thoughtful, project appropriate solutions. He pointed out areas with my brick I hadn't noticed, he educated me on why something was happening, told me smart, low-cost solutions to address those that will reoccur naturally, and really listened to my concerns for visually pleasing (but non-budget busting) repairs. Bill is very professional and a joy to work with. He and his crew are repairing my brick mailbox which was damaged by someone's car. They are working between snow storms and even came out on a Sunday to work on the project. His bid was quite reasonable and he was conscientious about doing this project in the most cost effective manner. I highly recommend him for anyone needing masonry work.

Bill and his crew did such a good job with our home! He was very professional and saved us a lot of money by salvaging our existing landscape timbers and improving the drainage with road base so that we won’t have to worry about drainage problems again. He took the time to come back on several occasions after the landscaping had a chance to settle a bit just to make sure the job was done correctly. While he was at our home, he took he time to give us tips on how to maintain our existing landscaping and offered to help us with other small projects like mending the fence. We really appreciate his attention to detail and will certainly hire him again for any future landscaping needs.
