My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the Trex deck that VDB built for us. We gave Nikolay very specific directions about exactly what we wanted and VDB delivered. Fernando was an outstanding crew leader and he and his men worked quickly but with great skill. They completed the deck in six days and I have already recommended VDB to our next-door neighbor who is very impressed with our deck. We are so happy we went with Virginia Deck Builders. From the beginning, Nick was the most thorough when we were getting estimates and took the time to go through the areas of concern and explained the options we had. This detail, along with the incredibly competitive quote they provided, was ultimately what made us go with them. In just 4 days their team was able to replace our entire deck and transform the overall look of our backyard. The workers were very friendly, took their time to do it right, and cleaned as though they had never even stepped in our backyard. We did have a few minor items we noticed but Nick had his team back out to resolve within just a couple of hours. Could not be more pleased with this project and company!

The deck looks awesome. I highly recommend based on the final product. There are two reasons I didnâ t give them 5 stars: 1. There was a three month stretch that I couldnâ t get a return call/email after requesting status updates. It was radio silence even after sending a few emails and calling the main office number. I didnâ t hear anything until I got a call that said they were starting a few days later. 2. The footer holes failed the initial inspection and the crew wasnâ t there to interact with the inspector. They didnâ t give me a heads-up that the inspector would be coming so I was confused when he showed up. Luckily the crew got back to my email quickly so they could talk me through it over the phone. Not a big deal overall, they fixed the footer depth the next day and everything worked out. That being said, the team was professional and worked quickly. I would use them again for other work. The final deck was even better than we imagined.

They were excellent and made the deck look beautiful. The deck had old and rotting planks, they replaced it the deck look beautiful. We had hired them prior to selling our property.

We are deeply worried this company is not real, and that we have been defrauded by a criminal. Over 4 months ago we signed a contract and put down a $17,914 deposit to get started on a deck replacement. Roughly a month after paying the deposit, we discovered this company was not licensed to do work in Prince William County. Then we lost all communication for some time, before finding out our sales rep had quit the company and our project was supposedly being handled by the owner, Nikolay Jan. Since then, every contact with Nicolay has resulted in us either being ignored or lied to. Our contract is now expired, we have demanded that our deposit be refunded, and still, the lies continue. 147 days of this. The most generous way to interpret the situation is this: Nikolay has too much work on his plate and is simply unable to handle our project. This company could be legitimate, and if we get our money back, we will assume we just got unlucky and hired the wrong contractor at the wrong time. And we will update this review with that information. But if you are reading this, and you too are worried that you have been defrauded or scammed by this company or any other company the name â Nikolay Jantic is associated with, please contact us directly. If you have heard these excuses it is my birthday week I am at the DMV my friend is in a coma I am working in the field I have forwarded your request to my legal department (there is no legal department); then you may be in the same position as us. If there are several of you out there, then we can likely establish a pattern of behavior that rises to the level of felony fraud. As a former police officer, I have successfully built cases like this, and I will happily do so again. Again, maybe we are the only unlucky and mistreated customers of this company and we will get our money back.
