Vivax Pro Painting is locally owned and operated. We have been in business since 2004. In 2004 we painted 30 homes in the Denver metro area. This year in 2012 we will paint over 3,000 homes. Most of our new painting business comes from referrals. We're licensed, insured and we don't accept deposits!

They provide a 9 year warranty which is transferable to new owners within that time frame if you sell the home. All associates are very honest, helpful, courteous, and professional! That’s rare these days and greatly appreciated!

They hire sub-contractor to come out any paint my house. They did a bad painting.

They did not meet the start date which was 10/20/17. I was told the painters were behind but would start my project 10/23/17. the project manager contacted me 10/23 to tell me they couldn't start my project 10/23! They missed an obvious woodwork problem above my garage which eventually added an additional $500+ to the overall estimate. In addition, my wife and I had to clean up after they finished painting, i.e., cleanup masking tape and masking paper. Upon having woodwork done around and above the garage door, they painted my garage door shut! Upon trying to open the door later in the afternoon, unbeknownst to me the door wouldn't lift, I tried a couple times and the garage door motor sparked and burnt out. In order to get the door open manually, I had to go outside and break the paint seal ( I have a witness). Prior to painting, that morning the garage door opened perfectly! Garage door opener had to be replaced which cost me another $564!! Ironically, I had asked if they wanted me to leave the garage door open while the area was being painted and I was told, "No". They were supposed to paint over two days because I paid to have two full coats of paint put on the house (paint one full coat on day 1---dry and comeback the next day and place the second full coat on). This didn't happen. Day 1, they painted 3/4's of the house. They came back the next day and painted the entire house claiming the side of the house that was not painted the day before was now painted twice. They did not remove the shutters on the house to paint under them. Yet, I was still charged the full amount! I was told that if sometime in the future the shutters were replaced, then they would come out and paint the house under the shutters?!! Really? Looking at the finished(non-finished) product, it looks good. I would like to give this company a higher rating but I can't in good conscience. In my opinion, this is probably a good company. Maybe my project was just poorly handled? ADDENDUM: I was contacted by Matt of Vivax. The issue of my garage door opener has been rectified. I appreciate him following up as I did not expect such. I also appreciate him listening to my concerns and acknowledging them. I have adjusted my rating as I believe this is a good company with people who want and have done the right thing.

I had a good experience overall. They initially came to my door as a solicitation and I was not happy but they finally left a card so I could contact them later. When I was ready to paint and doing my research, I called them and it was a pleasant experience. Mariah came to the house and did the original estimate, discussed my options etc and she was personable and able to answer everything I needed. I was then contacted by Kim as my project manager, and although I didn't have any additional questions at this time, she coordinated all of the scheduling including deadlines on my part (choosing colors, HoA approval etc), she was very accommodating while keeping the project on schedule. Next up was Cory, he did the walkthrough with me the day before painting was to start with the painter Cosmo. I had an appointment at 8am, and he was there nice and early to make sure I was gone by 7:30. I told him I would be back later so they decided to paint my door that day since I would be home and could leave it open. I was a bit surprised when I returned from my appointment at 9:30 to find the front of my house and one side almost completely sprayed already. Long story short, they finished the entire house that day. I did the final walkthrough with Cory and Cosmo a couple days later, they were happy to touch up some very minor details, I paid Cory and they were on their way after explaining how to file any warranty claims. Overall I couldn't have been happier (the wife is happy!)

The salesman and project manager promise quality of service they could not provide. Salesman told me they would scrape paint until I was satisfied and would come back again and again till I was satisfied. I showed him the paint on my house that would require a lot of scrapping. He told me they would do it until I was satisfied. He even told me he was going to be higher than any other bid I received, but he would make it perfect, even the scraping. I next showed the project manager, showed him the scraping that was needed and he also told me there would be no problem. I told both of them I wanted it completely scraped and I was hiring them cause they said it would be done to my expectations. As the painting was being done I told them it was not good enough. At end of job when I complained and reminded the project manager of my expectations around the scraping the manager told me I was unrealistic and they would damage my house if they scrapped more and he thought it looked great. I asked him why the salesman or he did not say this when I hired them. They lead me to believe they would scrape all failing paint, now they tell me I am unrealistic, they never implied this when they did the walk through. They wer $1500. higher than any other bid, but led me to believe they would do a better job. They didn't.

Project manager didn't follow up on getting job finished. Paint on garage started peeling only on areas where the surface was angled in the door design. They came back and repainted under warranty, gut the problem was almost immediate. They returned and removed paint, primed the door which wasn't done initially. So far so good, it appears to be holding. They then completed the trim work that was supposed to be done the next time trim team was in the area. All done under warranty. Initial work quality 4 stars raised to 4.5. Same on customer service, gave then an extra star.
