What they did, they did well.

Horrible experience with Matt Martin Construction....they didn't complete the job, hardly ever showed up....gave excuse after excuse for not showing up. The job was estimated to take about 10 days....fast forward 2 months and still not done. To top it off I had to hire another contractor to complete as well as correct all the poor workmanship. My husband and I were VERY sympathetic to Matt and his sick wife...however that should not keep his other workers from continuing the work in his absence. Shady business dealings when asking for payment because he wanted checks written to anybody but him or his company.... I should have followed my gut feeling when hiring him but thought I would give him a chance. Live and learn.

I want to provide a thorough and very positive experience I had with W. E. Martin Construction. We had a deck of composite materials that needed to be totally replaced (and I would NEVER recommend composite materials as a result of our experience with it). W.E. Martin Construction was prompt in responding to our request for an estimate and extremely professional. We have high standards and they met every one - courteous, authentic, professional and value for the money. And, most importantly, they listened to what our concerns were, and followed up for several days to answer questions and provide the absolute best service of any construction firm I've worked with. We have traditionally had historic homes that we've remodeled and I would have hired them in a heartbeat to take the care and quality that they demonstrated. We found them through Home Advisor and are thrilled that we did! During the actual demolition and replacement of the new deck, they alerted me to concerns that we had both discussed in advance of the start of the project and walked me through EVERY possible option. When I visited the site during the demolition and replacement (it was a vacant house that we had on the market), they spent a solid amount of time with me (both in person and on the phone over the several days of the project). They provided quality materials and demonstrated an excellent work ethic while on the job. This was an investment that I hadn't anticipated and they provided significant value for the price. I would recommend them highly and will call on them again for ANY project that we may have or need in the future!

These guys worked in the hot sun with no trees and worked their bottoms off. They were fast yet thorough. They tore out the old deck and put up a beautiful deck. Their work is quality that you do not get anymore and we are PICKY. Pleasant personalities, explained everything to us and were glad to answer any questions. They went way above and beyond and I will hire them in the future for any of my home repairs they can do. I have not seen this quality in years.

Martin Construction did a wonderful job on our replacement deck! Their work was completed several weeks faster than other estimates I got. They were able to make several changes we requested as we went alone and it looks great!

The work was decent for the price however, they left a mess. I found nails and scrap pieces of wood all over the place and also cigarette butts in my yard. I was disappointed that I had to clean up the mess and get rid of the excess materials.
