"Theresa, We are sorry to hear about your displeasure. Unfortunately, our costing is derived from a flat rate "program", as is the case with various HVAC companies. Our technicians are not "able" to breakdown the costs for you because that information is not even available to them. All of our staff and the practices that we strongly enforce, operate with the utmost integrity and honesty. There was in no way a scam in place with your situation and I am puzzled to see how you came to this conclusion. *The Part Cost: Although we strongly discourage people from looking on the internet to find how much a part apparently costs, we realize that it happens. However, in most cases... it is not an accurate comparison because the source of where parts are actually coming from on the internet is questionable. All of our parts are purchased from a reputable HVAC distributor or direct from the manufacturer. We guarantee quality, system compatibility, etc. in addition to warranty & support, which can result in a difference with the cost you see online vs. our distributor's cost. *Prior Service: We sincerely apologize for not correcting the issue with your equipment during our prior service calls. I did want to clarify that during the 1st service call, the system was operating well when the tech arrived. Therefore, without any symptoms... it is hard to make a diagnosis. We did return 6 months later and made a repair (that did not involve any parts replacement) & advised you that if the problem persisted, it may result in such. The last time we were out, we verified there was a defective part that needed to be replaced. With that, I struggle to understand that if the part was at least $350 (in what you found it to be on the internet), how another company did the repair (with labor) for less than what the part cost. Nonetheless, we do hope that these latest repairs result in a permanent solution. We thank you for your business over the years, and hope you remain happy with the equipment that we did install (your Ductless units)."
