"Ms. A, I first want to thank you for acknowledging my quality of work and the knowledge I have in the carpentry trade of which you noted to me a couple of times during the job that you have none. I am sorry that you had the wrong understanding of my Estimate/Agreement from the beginning. As I stated from the moment I first saw the job that I could only Estimate what it was going to cost because of the bad quality of work that had gone into the project thus far. Also, as the name of the document, you agreed to and signed, states as written above, and as the clause stated within the abovementioned agreement showed with bold letters before it Please Note and in italics, it was only, and could only be an Estimate because you told me from the beginning, that I was the 3rd contractor to work on the project. It took me over 2 full weeks to get the project just to the point that I could confidently start to put the project together as it was meant to be from the beginning. It is not my fault you do not understand the meaning between a Bid, or Quote and an Estimate. Please look these definitions up before accusing someone of milking a job and telling people that my billing is a rip off. I did ask you twice before you signed the Estimate/Agreement, once by word of mouth and the other in the email I sent the Estimate/Agreement in to please read it over thoroughly and if you had any questions or concerns to please let me know as I do with all my clients."
