The porcelain tile floor looks absolutely beautiful! He really did a good job. The end result is just as I envisioned. Thank you, Walker Tile for a job well done.

Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain - Install
I am absolutely floored at how unprofessional Mr. Walker is. Mr. Walker called me when he received my number from HomeAdvisor for kitchen backsplash installation- he was pleasant and seemingly professional over the phone. Was not going to charge an arm and a leg. Said he was working on a large project, but he had a day or two of not being able to do work on the other project, so he could certainly fit me in. The very first day of work on October 3rd, he was almost five hours late (I wound up having to take a full day off work waiting for him to arrive) and he only worked for a few hours before leaving for the day. He returned the following day and stayed for a few hours and requested partial payment to get supplies. He returned a few days later on October 7th, with his family, and worked another few hours. Said he and his family were going to go grab dinner and let the tile set for an hour or so and be back to grout and finish up the project. Requested more money so they could get food. Trying to be nice...and hoping I could trust him to return, I paid him in full. He came back an hour later and said it wasn't dry and he would have to come back the next day. Almost daily- it was a promise to be there and then not showing up. Then, his phone was disconnected. HomeAdvisor was able to get us in contact via email, and he came back a week later on October 13th at 9pm and claimed to not have the supplies he needed. After another week or so of promising to show up and not showing, I informed him that I did not want him to return and that I would have someone else finish. He requested that I let him complete the work. For another week, he promised EVERY DAY to be at the house at a certain time to finish. He has texted me telling me he is on his way...and then just never shows up. I have taken at least two days off work and wasted several weekends waiting for him. TO DATE (today is November 1st) he has not returned to complete the work. Absolutely ridiculous!!! The one positive thing I can say is that he appears to be somewhat detail-oriented when you are lucky enough to have him show up to work. We are installing a mosaic tile. Some pieces within each sheet of tile were not manufactured straight...he does take the time to fix those small tiles to ensure linear accuracy. Maybe he's a nice guy just hitting a rough patch, but that is no excuse! 11/9/17 Update: I hired a new company to complete the job that Walker's Tile left unfinished. Interesting- when I explained the situation to this new company, they knew exactly who had worked on my project without me even saying a name. They said they often come across jobs that need fixing or finishing after Walker's Tile.

Was very good at his job and kept me updated as the project progressed. I tried to get estimates from others using the yellow pages and web with no response. I went to the Home Advisor with our request and had a call for Walker's tile within 30 minutes. He completed the job with help with tile and answered all questions. We are looking at a bigger job of tile work of which we now have a tile man that we know will do his best. Howard and Mary

Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain Installation
I have revised this review a bit. Had reliability problems and often did not come when he said he would, but my displeasure was largely because I made the mistake of paying his bill in full before he finished (he told me he was taking family on vacation and needed the money). After that he did other job claiming Home Advisor was penalizing him for not finishing that one. He did say they had the wrong information but he had to straighten out the problem. When he returned from vacation he promised to finish but in the next seven days he came 2 afternoons. Then when I told him I would ask for some money back and he should leave, he promised to come and finish. He didn't show up the next day although he knew I was waiting on him to finish some grout work so plumber could reinstall toilet and sink in half-bath. Showed up day of plumber's arrival, laid what tile we had left, but did not do the grouting in kitchen or the sun room, or replace uneven tiles as he had promised. But his work is not bad and I think he really cares about the job but something keeps distracting him. And since I wrote the first review he has offered to come and finish it. I think that as he gets some more experience and things settle down for him, he will develop into a good craftsman. He seems very interested in his work. He is full of excuses and delays. Removed washer and dryer to tile and grout laundry area, then never did the grouting and left the appliances in the middle of the dining room. A complete fiasco. He took the money and ran.
Response from Walker's Tile
"This is something that me and the customer have discussed and it's being reconciled all of the installation was completed I was the second tile guy to take on this project the first tile guy left the job for (unexplained)reasons but there was not enough materials purchased prior to installation which resulted in three trips back the third trip I completed the tile installation the only thing that was left was a very little bit of grout"

Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain Repair
This project began as a simple tile repair, which turned into taking out a tub and a full bathroom remodel. I was not informed Walker’s Tile wasn’t qualified to do the work until after the fact, at which point it was too late. Before I learned of the lack of qualifications, I did learn that he never arrived on time and often left the job shortly after arrival to purchase supplies or something. He also brought in his friends to do the plumbing and framing he couldn’t do, neither of which arrived on time or did the job correctly. In fact, I had to hire two more professionals who told me everything that was done has to be redone, including new framing for wall and where the wallboard was set up, among other things. The job was a disaster from start to finish. I also paid over half the job up front plus extra for supplies. No part of the work was satisfactory. As a final note, he also said he would haul away all the debris for the remodel, which I ended up needing to hire yet another company to take care of for $200. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
Response from Walker's Tile
"I agree with a few of the comments made this job was a disaster from the start I'm a Pro tile installer LLC subcontractor I'm not a GC & I stick to my trade I don't claim to be a handyman comments exaggerated I made it clear that I was not qualified to do plumbing electrical & framing but I have people that I could refer to save money the time they arrived was not on me. Leaving to go get supplies meant discovering things after the demo I made the customer aware things were subject to change based upon the unforeseen. I will NEVER agreed to do a tile job that is not ready again. Got everything n writing & signed FYI"
