Warne Construction, Remodeling & Repairs - Unlicensed Contractor

Per the contract I signed with Warne Construction, I was to get a 1-year warranty on the work done. But in fact, he does not warranty his work at all. He replaced about 10 feet of siding on my house, and months before the warranty was up, my neighbor pointed out to me that the siding was wavy, buckling, and splitting all over it. The cracks keep getting bigger, so now they are big enough for the rain to go right through them and into my storage area and eventually my house. I have been calling him regularly for over 5 MONTHS and get an answering machine. I leave a message every time, and NOT ONCE has he returned my calls. His work is of very poor quality; he does not honor his warranty; and he takes advantage of elderly women customers.

Hired for a two-week project but due to only showing up 3-4 hours at a time it took six weeks. Very often he said he would be back in an hour or so and never showed up. Multiple no call, no show. Left us with two leaks under the sink, he tried multiple times but could never repair them. Left us with no screen door, could not fix.

Jay is very courteous and friendly. He really goes out of his way to assist you with what is needed at the best rate. He was a little late in arriving but I expect that since they never know what the job requires time wise. The job previous to mine took longer than expected.

I have had very good experiences with Warne Construction. I had rain water coming in through the wall, and previously I had asked many difference companies, from handyman-type of companies, to painters, roofers and general contractors. Nobody was able to tell me where exactly the water came in, and therefore nobody was able to propose a specific solution. When I called Warne Constr., the owner came out and he was the first to simply climb up on a ladder, grab the water hose, and test the wall until it was clear where the water came in. I then asked them to work on the interior damage, fix the outside and paint the entire house. As I said, I was very happy with the work and work attitude.

Contractor did not show up to do the repairs. No phone call. Horrible dependability. Terrible customer service.

Jay and his crew did an outstanding job repairing multiple cracks in our stucco. They were prompt, courteous, trustworthy, and went above and beyond, fixing a few cracks that were not in the contract but they noticed and took care of for us. I even hired them to do some roof repair after the excellent job they performed on the stucco. I would highly recommend Jay and his crew for any job you need around the house.
