Please do not hire this company. They are a fraud. Dennis Washington stole 100k from me and left the job site in the middle of the night. He has over 20 lawsuits against him. His companies are fake. Please be careful and do your due diligence before considering him or his fake companies.

I contracted with Washington Boyz to demolish and replace my existing driveway and walkway. Mr. Washington came out to my home to discuss pricing, and my expectations for the work to be completed. An agreement was reached after I submitted my counter-offer of which Mr. Washington accepted. The work began on December 3, 2019 with demolition and the laying down of the wire mesh, a method I discovered from my research of concrete laying. Mr. Washington informed me that his normal method for concrete laying is fiber mesh but during our conversations on the use of wire or fiber mesh, wire mesh was my preferred option. Mr. Washington used both wire and fiber mesh for this project. Mr. Washington completed the project and told me that the concrete should be ready to drive/walk upon in 24-36 hours. I followed instructions and did not drive or walk on the driveway/walkway until three (3) days later when during my inspection of the completed work I noticed tremendous deficiencies in the finished product. There was severe discoloration, crumbing edges and holes in the walkway, and dents in the driveway. I texted Mr. Washington, informed him of the deficiencies and asked when could he return to fix them. Mr. Washington informed me that he could come before Christmas. He came out and attempted to fix the deficiencies, but the results were worse than before. It appeared that someone who was not a professional tried to fix something that was done in a poor, un-skilled fashion. I engaged Mr. Washington on several occasions via text message and phone calls. Many of my efforts for communication were ignored and when I did receive a response, the text messages were rude, abrupt and curt. During one attempt, Mr. Washington responded with a text message that was highly problematic and unprofessional. In this message he stated that my attempts to contact him were annoying and I was â about to bring out the hood in him.â I have never engaged with a contractor who spoke to me that way. I paid for a service, the completed work was unsatisfactory, and I was simply trying to have this problem solved. I have had a lot of home improvement projects completed at my home, i.e., new roof, demolition and remodeling of both bathrooms, new windows, and a new patio door installation. I have never encountered a contractor such as Mr. Washington who was so rude, unprofessional, poor workmanship and dismissive to the point of refusing to remedy the poor work he performed in replacing my driveway/walkway. The attached pictures reveal the discrepancies that remain upon completion of work. There are parts of the walkway with numerous discolorations, holes, and chips from the replacement of the driveway/walkway, especially the walkway. I am VERY disappointed in the end result of Washington Boyz work. If in need of driveway repair or installation, DO NOT USE WASHINGTON BOYZ CONSTRUCTION. You will be disappointed. NOTE: I paid Mr. Washington $4,000 for shoddy work that apparently he feels is OK. This is NOT OK IN THE LEAST!!!!! This situation is not over.

Mr Washington personally examined my old concrete driveway, measured its size, calculated the price estimate based on the square foot area of the project, and provided a senior discount. He described the work in detail. He answered questions by email. He came with two workers on schedule to break up the old concrete driveway and haul away the pieces. The next day the same group graded the base of the driveway, placed a wood frame around the edge of the driveway, and directed the concrete pour from a sub-contractor's cement mixer truck, The first three workers spread the concrete while a fourth worker flattened the concrete to the top of the frame. The surface of the concrete became level near the garage and had a gentle slope to the bottom of the driveway. The next day, Washington Boyz cleaned up to lawn, removed the wood frame, and put down some topsoil and grass seeds next to the new concrete. Since the sub-contractor cement mixer operator dumped some excess cargo on the lawn after the cement was poured for the driveway, Washington Boyz had to break up the dried concrete from the lawn and clean up the pieces. Before they left, I was told not to use the new driveway for at least one more day to let the concrete cure and they put yellow tape over the bottom of the driveway to keep the driveway from being used. The final price was the same as the estimate and I was very pleased with the work that was done.

I will begin by saying I made the mistake of putting my husband in charge of this project. My husband did not give the correct dimensions I wanted and then would not follow through with my questions, so.... My patio was poured directly into uneven dirt, which had a cinder block buried in it from a previous project, when the forms were payed there were gaps between them and the ground which of course allowed for leakage. Once the forms came up, AND they took them back with them, there was no smooth edge on any side. When asked about it I was told they would cover it with dirt. There was concrete pieces and chunks and slivers left all around the patio where my dogs go so I had to clean it up. It does not match the old patio which once again I assumed they would try to match or tell me it wouldn't. What makes me the most upset is the amount of money I spent. For VERY little work I paid $3400, I guess concrete is ridiculously expensive. Not happy with Home Advisor either as I went to them for a recommendation.

Mr. Washington came in and made sure our needs were met. Very professional and did an amazing job.

They are a busy company, so the job might take a few days. We felt the job was done very well.

Washington Boyz Construction,LLC got off to a rough start with work ethics and implementing/maintaing professional standards (i.e. beginning project on/about negotiated day/date, consistent verbal/written communications, consistently working daily when weather permitted, initiating thorough inspection w/questions re: work/materials required upfront w/o assumptions, providing detailed contract w/approx. start/completion dates and cost, etc.). However, these things did improve throughout duration of project and company did an excellent job with cleaning up work areas when work was finished each day. Very pleased with craftmanship of finished project (e.g converting carport into garage & installation of front entry door) and am loving the conveniences & technological features of the newly installed garage. Friends/associates are also very impressed with the craftmanship & tech. functions of the garage. Although Washington Boyz Construction, LLC and I did have differences following completion of project in relevance to a few observable flaws resulting from incomplete finishings plus one newly occurring issue, the owner of company (Dennis Washington) corrected issue(s) and at that time our professional relation was also reconciled.

Dennis called before each step of the process and his team was very punctual and completed the work on time. I would definitely recommend him.

They not only installed my driveway but my neighbors as well. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Dennis and I played phone tag for a week or so...but finally connected. He was able to come out quickly, whereas every other concrete business I tried said it would be June or July before they could get to me. Dennis and his crew were pleasant and did a great job. The finished walkway was exactly how I wanted it and The price was great!

I’m so disappointed in the Washington Boyz Construction they strung us along for six months on our home addition project starting with the permit process. We signed our contract on April 15th he didn’t began work until August and as of today he sends us an email informing us due to deteriorating health issues he has no choice but to let us terminate the contract for the addition. We declined his termination option. He is the one who has defaulted on the this contract not us he was paid on time every time a payment was due. This is strange because 7days ago after sitting in my living room and discussing what should have been the final phase before enclosure he was handed his second payment . Not once’s did he say anything about terminating our contract was Mentioned or discussed when he picked up payment. . Not until he Failed the PG county inspection on Friday October 6th 2017 for framework The PG County inspector indicated doing the inspection that this looked like a rush job. He was issued correction order for 7 outstanding issues. Now all of a sudden he is Making us aware of health issue. Less than a week after receiving a check. Mr Washington has been making excuses for the longest It started in May from the architect drawing to submission of the permits. Mr. Washington does not like to be questioned Or held accountable for his actions. Mr. Washington informed us at the beginning of the contract that this project would be completed within 90 days. But each time that he was questioned after that he refused to provide finish date. Mr. Washington’s crew/contractors has a pattern of working one day out of Five day work week. And some weeks none at all. I had believe that when I hired Washington boys construction they were Reparable company to deal with After checking references and begin Referred by HomeAdvisor i also contacted the country for complaints or cases. But with all that being said we were still BamboozleI . Washington Boyz Construction wasted value time with all the patience’s we provided. we wish them the best but I do not think Mr. Washington is a reputable company to hire. Thank you.

I had new cement walks and a driveway installed. I had 3 quotes done and WBC's was the most reasonably priced. The project took a 3 days longer than initially stated due to excessive heat, rainy conditions, and the weekend. The actual cement pour was sourced to a cement company with Washington Boyz Construction overseeing the project. Starting day 1 all the way to the end Dennis Washington was extremely responsive, both by email and phone, and took care of any concerns that I had about remaining touch up items. All in all everything turned out great. I've been getting compliments from my neighbors since the installation was finished. I would definitely use this company again for future work around the house. VERY SATISFIED.

Dennis called promptly after my query and came by the house for an inspection within hours. We agreed that there was a structural issue with the first floor ceiling. We also spoke about further remodeling projects. After he and his team started on the structural issue and watching them work I decided to increase the scope of the work by another $7.5K. He is a Pro and he employs assistants that are polite, hard working and enjoyable to have on the property. I am currently contracting with him to complete other structural and remodeling projects.
