Our damage was not too bad, a poorly installed dog door that was not properly sealed 6 years prior created some water damage in our closet. After contacting a couple restoration companies we chose Water Fighters and I am glad we did. Cesar and Jovan came out and did an amazing job returning our closet better than it was new. I can highly recommend them and they will be my first call if we need restoration services again.

Water removal

Firstly I want to say how professional the guys were. The guys, Cesar and Jovan were exceptional. We had a dog door installed by Home Depot about 6 years ago and for some reason they never sealed the outside. So when ever it would rain water would get in behind the walls. Because the door is in our closet clothes and things would block the view so I never thought it was that bad. During a deep cleaning recently I saw how bad it had gotten. So I called a couple contractors to get estimates. Cesar from Water Fighters came out that same day at 6pm. I told them I was waiting for another estimate and they sent me theirs a few days later. The estimate was nearly identical in price but I chose Cesar because they were first to come out. They quoted me a 4 day job but finished up in 3. First day was demolition and they sprayed everything because of the water damage. The second day was short and they did some work at their office to accommodate our schedule. The last day was long but that was partially due to how poorly the dog door was installed prior. I can honestly say the work they did was exceptional and highly recommend them.

We had our first ever claim with insurance in 10+ years from a bathtub flood and my husband found Water Fighters through a Google search. They did come right over and started the process of drying out the home with fans. They had my husband sign a non-itemized in any way quote of $10k-20k,which he did. We assumed they work with our insurance company to finalize the quote before continuing the work and we trusted that was a valid estimate since weâ ve never been in this situation before and knew we needed to start the drying process promptly. Additionally, our insurance rep assured us she had communicated to Water Fighters and they knew theyâ d need to get additional work approved by them as they went. Every day they said theyâ d come, they either didnâ t come at all or showed up at 4pm for two hours. We logged all Ring records to confirm. Finally on day 9 my husband decided to stop working with them (they had completed the drying process; no restoration was started) and moved forward with the insurance companyâ s recommended contractor. We were then sent a bill for $8700 from Water Fighters for 8 hours of total work. We requested they itemize it down further to understand the charges and they refused and basically said pay it or weâ ll sue you. Our insurance came back with a reasonable amount for the same work of $2600. For example, they charged us for 9 days of fans when we needed 3-5. Insurance generously gave them 5. It was not our fault they simply left their equipment while they didnâ t show. There was an emergency service charge when they came over on a weekday afternoon. They could or would not justify any of the discrepancies with the insurance company. They refused to accept insuranceâ s payment and stated we would also need to pay their attorneys fees if we didnâ t pay the $8700. So here we are, paying more out of pocket AFTER INSURANCE PAID than if we had not used insurance at all and just paid the other company out of pocket. Absolute crooks.

MJ did a great job for us. I bugged him endlessly about details- right up to (and including) the day he did the work. He was very patient. I was pleasantly surprised that he did the job. I like working with only one person- the continuity is refreshing. Thank you MJ - Iâ ll certainly call you again for my next job.

I am really happy with the way these guys work. I recommend calling them before you call your insurance provided with a claim. They did really great work when my house was flooded and all I paid was my deductible. I recommend them if you have water damage in your property
