Water Heater Express

First of all, my water heater was still working, and over 15 yr old, it needs replacing. Not an emergency. The service person show up and indicate it was going to be more cost than quoted over the phone - despite I asked them to come for a quote first, but the owner was confident about the quote. They started draining my old water heater before I agree to the new higher price. When I asked them to stop because I am not comfortable with their unprofessionalism, they want to charge a fee for showing up. We finally agreed on a price after frustrating conversation and then they started work. However, they hooked up all the pipes, but did not finish the wiring be cause they said that was the agreement for the lower price. WHAT?! What I am suppose to do with a electric water heater without power on a school night while the kids are waiting to shower?! Nothing make sense to me. Then the owner started making personal remarks about how I should go to church, but cause I refused to pay until they finished the whole job - connecting the electric wires to the electric water heater. The whole job was a joke. Never never hire these guys!!! Very very unprofessional. Oh, there were no drain pan or elevated block like what other guys who come out for a free written quote.

Both the person who installed ( Jeff ) and the owner I talked - excellent experience. Job was done well, on time, reasonably priced. I will hire the company again for my future plumbing needs.

The Tech dude was fast, professional, equipped, with what he had to do with the job. The job was done with in 2 hrs tops, the price was ok for water heater INSTALLED, although only part he said was to b replaced was the shut off value, which I think was a bit over priced which to which out. But, better safe than sorry in the long run. I would call them back, but have my own water value to b replaced.

My water heater leaked and water was shut off to my home. They were to my home within two hours after calling on a Monday night, and completed the work by 10:00 PM. The technician knew what he was doing and was helpful in explaining the work that needed to be done.

Water heater express was great. The manager called immediately and made me feel like I was a priority. He assured me that he'd do his best to have someone there the same night....and he did!! Once the repair man came, he was in & out.

Courteous. Willing to work with me regarding payment options. Would recommend them to others.

I have no issues with the quality of work. I felt it was a bit expensive, that's all.

On first call, the contractor said he had another call coming in, would I mind calling back. On calling back, the contractor quoted a price, and I agreed, The contractor committed to being here at noon. At 1240, a contractor employee called to say they could not find our location. They said the street must be called something else or the wrong twon was given. When we tried to give directions, the person said they couldn't take the directions as they were driving. We asked where they were -- they were at least 30 miles away. I called the original contact number and was told that they had difficulties with deliveries and was argumentative. I gave explicit directions and asked to be given an update on arrival time. 15 minutes later, the caller asked for driving directions. We again explianed precisely (BTW all one has to do is enter the address in google maps, mapquest, or on a garmin or magellan gps) how to get here. When asked for the arrival time, they said, the person was near King of Prussia, so 'however long that takes'. This is one of the most unprofessional encounters we have had, ever. I would have given 0 stars, but your rating system won't allow that. I am very unimpressed with the contractor recommended, and with HomeAdvisor. I will never use either again, and I will never recommend. I am removing the reference to homeadvisor on our community blog.

I just loved Jeff he was so nice. Nothing was to much for him.

Rep who quoted the job via text did not mention that expansion tank may also need replacement. This added 15% to the cost after the installer arrived and inspected the existing equipment.

The repair man was good at explaining the problem and what was needed to correct it. He got right to it, fixed the problem and cleaned up after himself. All Good!

Prompt and courtious. Great instqallation and recommendations for other needs, like proper valves for Gas and water line.

Excellent experience! The technician, Jeff, was professional and respectful. He chatted with me during the work, explaining everything, even when there were changes in what he had to do. Outstanding technician. He suggested an improvement, but didn't force me, and tried to work around it until it was absolutely necessary. His work was very neat and clean, good attention to detail. The only down side was trying to get in touch with them was a bit of a challenge, but they called me Saturday morning and switched my appointment from Monday morning to Saturday afternoon. No Saturday charge!!!

They are quick to response but the owner who quoted the price neglected to mention that taxes are in addition to their price. He should have said that taxes are extra and I wouldn't have an issue with it. Also, they replaced a valve at an extra cost of ~$70 that they claim was due to code. An average person has no knowledge of the plumbing code and I highly doubt that they do as well. Regardless, the quited price will most likely increase so my advice keep shopping and ask are they any ofher expenses that you may incur.

Quickly replaced our water heater but very expensive.

This review is 4years after the installation of the water heater. It is leaking. I contacted Water Heater Express because the water heater is still under warranty. But I was shocked to hear that although I can get another heater the labor is $300. I am not sure if I understood this 4 years ago. I would be interested in your opinions on this matter. When I contacted WHE they did return my call, but I was unprepared for the labor cost.

Good honest service. Price given over the phone was the price I paid. My expansion tank was shot which was an added expense but the price was still very reasonable. It was a pleasure doing business with this company.
