Super glad we chose We Remodel and Build for our room addition. We needed more space for the kids and didn?t want to move, so this was the next best thing. The whole team was friendly and pretty laid back but still got things done. Communication was good, nothing felt confusing or unclear. A few minor delays here and there, but nothing crazy. End result came out great.

Overall, a very positive experience with We Remodel and Build. We added a new bedroom and extended part of the living area. The project took a bit longer than initially estimated, but nothing unreasonable. What I appreciated was that they didn?t cut corners just to finish faster. The quality shows in the details ? doors close properly, floors are level, everything lines up nicely. The team was friendly and approachable the whole time. Glad we chose them!!

We spent months talking to different contractors before choosing We Remodel and Build for our backyard ADU, and I?m really glad we went with them. They weren?t the cheapest, but they felt the most honest during the estimate process. The build itself took a little longer than originally planned, but nothing crazy and they kept us updated the whole time. No disappearing acts, which we?ve dealt with before. The quality is solid?floors, kitchen, bathroom, everything feels well done and not rushed. It?s now being rented out and already paying off. Would definitely recommend them if you?re serious about building an ADU!

Adding a new room to our house felt like a big step, but We Remodel and Build made it feel manageable. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, they were easy to communicate with and didn?t overpromise. What I appreciated most was how transparent they were about timing and costs. After talking to a few contractors, we decided to go with We Remodel and Build for our home addition and I?m glad we did. They were straightforward and realistic from the beginning, which made a big difference. The project involved expanding our living room and adding extra square footage for our growing family. We added a master bedroom to the back of our house and went with We Remodel and Build after a neighbor recommended them. Glad we did. The workmanship is really solid and they paid attention to details that I wouldn?t even think about. The new space feels bright, well insulated, and just comfortable overall. There were a few delays due to materials, but they kept us updated and didn?t disappear like some contractors do. Communication makes a big difference, and they were reliable in that sense!

We purchased an older family home in San Jose from 1915 that needed a complete makeover. We also planned on increasing the home square footage by adding 1,500 sq ft. Me and my husband both work for a major tech company and were referred to We Remodel And Build internally by 3 coworkers who achieved similar projects in the Bay area. As first-time homeowners we had very limited knowledge of all that despite some preliminary research we had done prior to meeting with Shay. He made it simple to understand and gave us a precise idea of what to expect. His authenticity and transparency when it came to costs and timelines reflected a strong work ethic that our coworkers had mentioned as well. We interviewed 2 more contractors but we clicked with Shay immediately. The first phase of the project consisted of working hand in hand with We Remodel And Buildâ s architect and engineer. Both were a fountain of knowledge and answered all of our questions promptly. Once the drawings were ready and approved by the city, Shay and his crew started executing the plans. The crew was punctual and organized and the quality of craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. Shay beautifully blended the old charm of the home with the new addition. He is extremely responsive and coordinated the whole project with the best possible manager. We were hesitant on the 1,500 sq ft as it felt too overwhelming, stressful and expensive but as the construction work started, we realized that it was more fear than harm and today we are at peace with our decision as it not only added significant space to the house but also increased the value of our property. The result is spectacular and it is now our turn to recommend We Remodel And Build.

Our master bathroom had a known leak from home inspection that we knew we had to fix. We just did not know the extent of the damage and what was needed to fix it. After having been burnt by another contractor for a different remodel job wrt timelines and quality of work, we were very hesitant in dealing with contractors in general, having the impression that the whole industry is fraught with people who up-sell at the outset and flatter to deceive. Enter Shay and his crew, he was always honest with his assessment from the start and transparent with the scope of work and deadlines. We did a complete shower remodel, which it turns out was very much needed since after demo, the shower stall did display evidence of extensive water damage from years of use. Shay pivoted quickly, had a reasonable estimate for changes to the scope of work and thankfully was able to spare George's crew who worked at breakneck speed and efficiency to deliver a quality remodel job. We are very happy with the end result and the job was finished in half the time of the original timeline !

Shay and his team did a great job remodeling and reconfiguring our master bathroom and closet. Before, the space felt cramped and the space around the vanity was not utilized. We wanted to take down a wall and build a new one to reshape the entire area. Shay was honest and informative during the estimate and gave us a very reasonable price and was willing to work with our budget. Shay will always try to save you money without sacrificing quality or deterring you from your vision which we appreciated. In the end we could not be happier with the way it turned out!

Shay at we remodel and build is so nice, friendly and professional! He was not only personable, but he went above and beyond to assist me with various projects. We remodel and build were organized from the onset. Once our room addition project started, they showed up when they said they would and stuck to the timeline to a T. The room addition really improves our property value and it looks beautiful. They may not be the cheapest in town, but they do high quality work and guarantee it even after completion. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use again.

I had a quite challenging transformation in mind for the remodeling of our kitchen, two bathrooms, and the painting of the outside of our home. I can say that after seeing the work We Remodel and Build did, our home has been transformed exactly the way I envisioned. Shay’s team worked diligently to expand the size of our kitchen and create a more modernized look in two of our bathrooms. When it came to painting the outside of our home, I received various inputs regarding design that were extremely useful. Shay, the owner, was incredible to work with. From the start of the project, he assured me that his goal was to meet my needs and achieved this by being friendly and clear when communicating with me about the job. He was always there to answer my calls and I received incredibly fast response rates which made the remodeling job very organized and efficient. As for Shays' team: they were professional, always kept areas clean, and respected our privacy. They strictly followed COVID-19 protocols by always wearing masks and remaining socially distanced. It is always a bit nerve racking when going through a big remodeling project, with regards to the time when construction is taking place in your home. However, Shay and his team put these nerves to rest and my family and I felt safe and comfortable during the entire process. I would highly recommend We Remodel and Build to anyone looking to remodel their home and I will definitely be keeping Shay and his team in mind the next time either myself or someone I know is looking to remodel.

Our project consisted of a kitchen, bathrooms, flooring painting and 1,500 sq ft addition to the existing house and a second story addition due to our growing family and the need for a remote office space. Finding the right contractor is as stressful and time-consuming as going ring shopping with your future-wife-to-be. You want to make the right choice and pray that the dream house / dream ring are affordable ? We came across We Remodel And Build by walking in our neighborhood as we saw a yard sign in a house that was being remodeled near where we live and in the beginning of this pandemic there wasn’t much to do but walk the dog at least 3 times a day which allowed us to observe the evolution of the remodeling project down the street. We were also lucky to talk to the owners and get a sneak peek of the work that was being done. A second story addition is a complex project because of local codes and all kind of restrictions that may apply. Shay was well informed about all that and mentioned that it could create shade issues for the neighboring homes and insisted on the importance of aligning with the general aesthetics of the area by building the second story from scratch by tearing off the roof rather than a modular second-story addition that would be designed and built off-site. The kitchen remodeling was the easy part whereas the 1,500 sq ft addition brought its own set of challenges such as HVAC and electrical. This construction and home remodeling project took 7 months to be completed not including home addition plans, blueprints, city approval and city permits issuance which took an extra 4 months. All our expectations were met, their customer service was excellent from day 1 until completion and we truly have the feeling that we got excellent value for the money we spent.

Building a room addition requires time, effort, patience and money. We had been planning on this 1,200 sq ft room addition for a while and felt that 2021 was the right time given the uncertain times we live in. It is not a cheap gimmick project but a serious construction project. A simple handyman or an average contractor are not enough but very expensive general contractors are not necessarily the best solution either. Our decision to choose â We Remodel & Buildâ was based on multiple criteria: 1. Recommendation from my husbandâ s coworker 2. Shay the owner being very knowledgeable (rules and regulations change all the times especially in California!) and transparent on all aspects of the project 3. Yelp rating and reviews. We interviewed 4 companies in the Bay area but prices were insane (mere thievery to say the least) and we felt that our interaction with the project manager needed to be flawless in order to embark on such a journey. We are very satisfied and we will continue to spread the word around us. Thank you Shay and thank you to the whole team!

Shay and his team is really exceptional. Shay provided us various ideas for remodeling our guest bathroom. They provided the best quote for our guest bathroom remodel project after hunting over a month or so. We remodel and build gave equal importance to each and every step of way. I have been wanting my kitchen upgraded and We Remodel and Build made it happen. I had invited 4 companies to bid on my project and it was We Remodel and Build who had the lowest bid and add ons. The owner Shay had always been welcoming from the very beginning, not a lot of sales talk or sugar coating. I already felt comfortable talking to him, I easily laid out my plan and didn't feel intimidated or underestimated. ( you know how other contractors or companies make you feel like you won't be able to afford to pay, lol but not with Shay!) The project took 6weeks of being unable to cook, with restricted spaces and dust, but with We Remodel and Build, I would like to consider those 6weeks more of a positive experience, than a discomfort, and this is because of the people who report to our house everyday to do the job. From the electrician, the plumber, everyone had been professional, polite, tidy, and with excellent customer service. Of course I will not forget to mention Jorge, the carpenter who had been the trusted person of Shay and myself for the whole project. I saw how dedicated and passionate Jorge does his job. He was very detailed and just like Shay, Jorge would only want what makes the customer happy even if this might add an extra time for him to do. Seeing Jorge and his help buddy in my house everyday for 6weeks made me feel like they're family. I enjoyed watching them build my kitchen up to the last day. They have miracle hands lol. To top it all, I will not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone based on my experience with them. I wish Shay and his team more success in the business. Our project consisted of relocating our laundry room and renovate the kitchen and one small bathroom. My husband and I decided to get a room addition, to accommodate our growing family. When the lockdown was in place I was not sure if construction would be on hold for a long time. I searched and searched for many contractors all over the Bay Area. Shay has the best reviews and came recommended by a past coworker. They were right. Shay at the remodel was so great. He always kept me and my husband in the loop about when they could start again and went over the precautions, and safety plans they would be using once they could work again. Shay and his team made up for the little time lost and more. We found out I was pregnant during the lockdown and the room for our baby was finished before she was born. We did not want to have to worry about construction noise with a newborn. Everything was done so fast and looks amazing. My husband has an eye for small details. He was very impressed.

I am writing this review about the work done from Shay at We Remodel and Build. It was far better than I ever thought possible. I was looking for some help with a 400 square foot in-law unit. I was talking with a neighbor about it and he recommended we remodel and build. I also asked for recommendations on NextDoor, and I had two more neighbors recommend them and said what a good job they did! Getting a separate unit fast was very important for me to have. I needed a safe clean and beautiful place for my mother to stay because of Covid and because I wanted her close by. I was worried, though, about having it done on time and safely. My concerns were put at ease because Shay and the team were very honest and fast and used the proper protocol to make sure everything was done safely. Shay had a lot of ideas about what was best for the separate unit, and it was so needed. I work from home, have kids, and now am helping with my mother. I really didnâ t want to have to worry about one more thing during this time and I didnâ t have to. Shay and the team were so on top of things. They were easy to talk to and they responded fast. Plus their prices were lower than my budget. I loved what they did with the second unit. Now my family is close and happy.

I am so pleased about the work I got done with We Remodel and Build. I was doing a 1000 sq ft AUD, and I had 3 contractors I was speaking with after searching online. One of these contractors was quoting the job at $300,000, and I was feeling pretty frustrated. After talking to my neighbor about my frustrations, she said she worked with We Remodel and Build, and she was really happy with them. She recommended them so much so that I decided to give it a try. Even though it was last minute, I figured what's one more guy? After searching the company online, I found that there were a TON of great reviews, and luckily Shay showed up, even with our limited time. Shay read the plans and asked if we were open to suggestions. We of course said yes, and he suggested to change something with the structure that ultimately allowed us to save a bunch of money on electricity and plumbing! It took us another 3-4 weeks and Shay went to the city to change what was needed for us. Because of this, his offer was over $60,000 lower than the other bids! Thank you so much We Remodel and build, and a big thank you to Shay for giving us such a good idea and saving us all that time and money. The place looks amazing and flawless. The estimate is free, so I would definitely check him out to at least hear some of his amazing, money saving ideas.
