He took full payment for building a deck in the amount of $8,785. Sent me a one and 1/2 man crew who came to work about 3 days a month between 2/23/11 and 6/10/11 and never completed the project. I don't think they even had proper equipment. Instead of using scaffolds and ladders, they used ropes and nearby trees to hoist up my deck. They did not obtain a permit to build ( I had to go and get one 3 months into the project); Mr. Undewood did not have a license to do work in the City of Homewood, AL (he eventually obtained one); Mr. Underwood is not licensed by the Home Builders Licensure Board in the State of Alabama, therefore the original contract he entered into with me for $15,000 (for work inside the house and the deck) was not valid and we changed it to an $8,785 contract involving the deck only. He promised and promised to do my work but he has not returned my phone calls or answered my emails. I made a hugh mistake trusting this person who advertises as being a Christain based contractor.

The tile looks fantastic. After a little snafu with scheduling the work went very well. Skye was very thorough and I was most impressed with his pictures from other jobs

I feel that Skye Underwood genuinely cared about making sure I was completely satisfied with the work done at my house. He exceeded my expectations as far as listening to my needs, giving me a fair price, getting his team on the job, and following up with me to see if I had any concerns about anything or if anything didn't meet my expectations. He's professional, curteous, and the crew that came out to my house was extrmely pleaseant and polite. They arrived promptly at the designated time and got right to work. I have other home improvement/repair projects planned for the future and I'll definitely be calling Weather Armor for the job.
Response from Weather Armor
"Mr. Joe's a young professional with a family and a very, very beautiful home. In the living room the tape on the joints of the vaulted ceiling drywall were popping because the wrong material (tape) was used on the original install. Also, he had a joint that was popping in the kitchen, so we used the correct material (tape), skimmed, sanded & painted both areas. Mr. Joe got a custom drywall repair & paint job for his vaulted ceilings & repairing and painting his kitchen ceiling by the best drywall guy in Birmingham at an affordable price. Call Weather Armor if you want it done right the first time."

Project was completed in a timely and professional manner.
Response from Weather Armor
"Mr. B had us out to repair some roof damage, yet when he realized that we were a full service contractor he hired us to repair some drywall issues he had as well as tile that was damaged in his foyer. Unfortunately, the several pieces of tile that was cracked in his foyer were irreplaceable due to not being on the market anymore, so the B's chose to add to the beauty of their home and chose a beautiful slate to be installed in place of the old tile, so we tore out all of the existing stone and gave his foyer the wow factor with the new beautiful slate. You can view pictures of his beautiful tiled foyer on our profile."

Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain - Install
The job at my house was Never completed. Skye had convinced me to pay for the job before it was completed then didn't send anyone back to complete the project. He won't answer my numerous calls or texts. They left the whole room in shambles. I had thought that because it was a 'Christian' company and what not that they would at the very least follow through. Not just take my money and run. The whole situation has been very upsetting.
Response from Weather Armor
"This is the kind of customer that every company runs into, unfortunately. No matter how much we went out of the way to make the customer happy - repairing major plumbing problems at no charge, repairing sheetrock & painting at no charge, installing track lighting at no charge - the customer was never satisfied. This customer budgeted a minimal amount for a full bathroom makeover including gutting it, rebuilding it, custom tile, all of the materials including new bath, new window, new vanity and new custom furniture. We found nothing, but rotten wood & terribly old plumbing when we tore out her walls & floor. We replaced all at no cost to her."

On time and got it done quickly
Response from Weather Armor
"This particular job was for a customer on the Vestavia Hills city council. He had a troublesome leak on his flat roof. We thoroughly cleaned the roof and then applied a thick coating of tar/bull to the surface to assure the customer would never have this problem again. The customer was very satisfied upon our completion of the project."

He didn't try to talk me into a new roof, and instead made the repairs I requested. It hasn't rained since then, but at this point I am very satisfied with his service and price.
Response from Weather Armor
"Mr. Don was a very kind gentleman whose roof needed a little "tlc." However, though other roofing contractors that had been out to his home insisted upon him tearing his old roof off & buy a new one from them, Weather Armor did a thorough inspection and found that his "old roof" still had a good 5-10 years of life, so we sealed all of his problematic areas and addressed preventive maintanence issues to assure that he would get the most out of his existing roof. Mr. Don was very appreciative that he was able to save a whole lot of money and that he wasn't taken advantage of."

Professional and did good work.
Response from Weather Armor
"This particular job was for a customer who owned an apartment building that was not up to code due to damage by mother nature & his tenants were experiencing the trouble b/c of it. As a matter of fact, an inspector was going to come out in a couple of days to make sure the repairs were taken care of, so Weather Armor didn't waste any time and addressed the repairs immediately. The customer had major leaking issues on a flat roof that we thoroughly inspected, cleaned and applied a coating of tar/bull to assure that they would get the most protection. We also repaired issues with rotten wood & gutters & brought it up to code passing inspection."
