Steve and his crew replaced our old sod with new St. Augustine sod. They did a thorough job even when it was raining!! They paid close attention to irrigation heads and trimmed up palm trees. Cleaned up everything nicely too. Steve was very particular about making sure the new sod was freshly cut and in good shape. If you need lawn care done, hire Steve Hughes from Weekend Warrior. He’s very kind and respectful. He has also done our weekly yard mowing, planted trees and put in our back patio with pavers. He can do it all!!

Steve used to mow our lawn and we lost the service due to simple miscommunication. Since losing his service I have had several places that dont measure up to h is guys. We even had a place skip the edging and cause lots of grass problems in our rock beds. I hope to get back in contact with Steve soon to restablish monthly service with him and i'm even willing to pay extra.

The company trims trees or bush as compliment services, but to be frank, they dont need to if they do an excellent job. First, the company owner did not spray to eliminate weed and old grass. That means he will have to work harder to pull the roots of left over grass/weed after remove the top with sod cutter. Well, he did not. The rototiller does reach far down nor design to pull the weeds up. Now old weeds grow through the new sods! The sods were carelessly laid down. Many are significant overlapping each others while a few places have open gaps. They even cover my water meter and 1 sprinkler head! I had to fix many of this issue myself! The weeds on top (not existing one from the bottom) start to sprout up! A few of my neighbors residing at the same time (they get the sods themselves) and theirs are virtually clear of weeds. So now I have to deal with weeds on my new sods on day one. Last, my yard had problem with grading due to low quality works of previous soding services. Hence I make sure to tell with the owner to make good slope grading, and have the soil level below concrete (search it yourself for why), but he kept insist that my yard should keep high. Now my new grass are 3 or 4 inches higher that border and sidewalk even without thatch! I guess he just want to skip the effort to remove the extra soils! My mow guy already suggested I should raise my new sprinkler heads up to avoid the grass blocking them.

Paid in full for lawn care and Never showed up to perform work..

Steve was quick to respond to my inquiry, and scheduled a time to come out to provide a quote. He was prompt, professional and answered all my questions. I chose to hire Weekend Warrior for monthly lawn care & maintenance. It's been two weeks so far, and I'm very happy with how good my yard looks and the ease of working with this company.

He was friendly and professional, I had a quote for the work by the next morning, and work started almost immediately! The crew was polite and professional, and Steve oversaw the entire project from start to finish. They did a lovely job of installing my sod, and they went above and beyond by weeding my beds and trimming my trees! Their price was more than reasonable, and I wouldnâ t hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
