Welcome Renovation

We got our kitchen fully renovated and I wanted to sit on this review for a month before sharing. While my husband and I are super pleased with how our kitchen turned out, we found parts of the communication process to be lacking and honestly didn't feel like we were a big priority for their team. There were small inconsistencies in what was communicated prior to the project start versus during (ex. design turnaround time, availability to work on weekends, not being clear on when items needed to be ordered and then asked when said items were being delivered, etc). Our kitchen finished on schedule but I didn't feel they tried to get it done sooner although there were opportunities to do so. We had an issue with our water heater breaking during the renovation which caused us to be without hot water for almost a week. The water heater stopped working a day after they turned off the water and I don't fault them for not fixing it but they were not proactive in helping us address it. We ended up replacing it ourselves because we couldn't go any longer without hot water. We also had an issue with one of our kitchen blinds constantly falling off post-completion due to it being removed a lot during the paint process and when I reached out to the team to get it fixed, there was no resolution by the 5th day from when I asked. This doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence in their 1 year warranty. The team was friendly and communication was fine when I reached out but I expected more from their team when they had advertised as providing white-glove service and that was a big reason as to why we chose them.

Welcome Renovation did an amazing job on our bathroom remodel! They were on time, on budget, and their app made it so easy to track progress. Their design services were fantastic—they really helped shape our ideas into a beautiful, functional space. They made the whole process feel stress-free and easy, handling everything from start to finish. The final result was exactly what we envisioned. We had a very big project, basically a full gut renovatio, on a very tight timeline, and we were extremely careful about choosing the right partners. Lukas, Norberto, and the entire team did an incredible job! The communication, quality, and attention to detail were all outstanding.They took time to really listen to our concerns and never dismissed anything we brought up, which we deeply appreciated. They weren't super pushy with any upselling and really made an effort to be mindful of budget and accommodate us where they could. Even though we were a couple of weeks over on time, due to mostly changes by us, they were very communicative ahead of time so we can make the proper plans which made the process smooth and with no surprises. The communication was so enjoyable my wife and I even joked that we actually looked forward to our contractor meetings!! As for the finished work — it turned out way better than we could have imagined. You can truly see the care, craftsmanship, and pride in every detail. We finally moved back into our house and we only had a really small list of 4-5 items remaining which they responded to with urgency which shows there level of commitment even after the project was over. We couldn’t be happier with the results and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, trustworthy, and talented team.

Greg and his team renovated our townhouse while we were traveling overseas; when we returned 4 weeks later our place was 90 percent finished! We remodeled our kitchen, two full bathrooms and a powder room. His project coordinator, Lukus, did a great job keeping us informed of progress while we were away. We have done a few renovations and they are never problem ( big or small ) free and those conversations are always awkward because contractors donâ t always take responsibility. The small issues we encountered with Welcome were quickly addressed; customers satisfaction is important to Greg and his team which was refreshing. We look forward to working with them in the future with our other properties. ð

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with the Welcome Renovation team. They were referred to us by friends who had a good experience and suggested we give them a bid. This was our first professional renovation and it really spoiled us. I wasn't sure how it would be possible that they could be onsite and in touch at the start and end of everyday or that they would bring and remove materials each day without storing them. After interviewing 10 contractors, Greg and Lucy at Welcome Renovation was number 11 and the one I decided to hire. I recently renovated a condo and had a terrible experience so I wanted to make sure I hired the right person. Greg stood out from the rest because he was not pushy and had a trust worthiness to him. It is important to note, Welcome is not a contractor, they are a project manager/ design team and work with one particular contractor for their all their jobs. I did a large scale full home remodel, full kitchen, 3 bath's, floors, and paint. I believe is probably the largest project Welcome had done when we hired them. The estimated completion was a little delayed but that is to be expected with such a large job. Welcome's upfront cost was what I was looking for bc if my previous negative experience of constant change orders. Greg and Lucy are responsive and pay attention to details. Overall I am happy with my remodel and am now 4+ months after completion. I've had a few items that needed fixing after the fact and Greg and Lucy would have the contractor out within a week to fix my issue, this peace of mind was well worth hiring Welcome Reno. Ours was a HUGE project. We wanted our kitchen, our master bathroom, and our powder room completely torn apart and redone because they were outdated and not as functional as we want them to be. We knew it was a costly, time-consuming undertaking, so we wanted a renovation company that we can trust. We found Welcome Renovation through word of mouth, and from the moment we met Greg, we got a good vibe. The guy knew what he was doing. One of the best points about Welcome Renovation is respect. They respected us. They respected our vision, our space, our time, our money, our needs. They listened to what we wanted, made some suggestions and advice, but ultimately worked hard to execute exactly what we wanted. I donâ t know if I can fully convey how smoothly my whole house remodel project went but I will sure try! The Experience: I immediately noticed that Welcome Renovation prioritizes your experience. For example - excellent project management and communication. I am incredibly busy with work and they made the whole process SO easy working around my schedule and sending pictures when I wasnâ t able to drop by in person. I felt 100% confident with the design choices they made and was happy with all of the options (these were all carefully down-selected so there werenâ t an overwhelming number of choices). I can count at least 4 - probably more if I really thought about it - ways they actually spent more money on their end to make things look better or improve functionality, without increasing the price to me. They went and fixed a number of items that had been screwed up by a previous construction group at extremely fair price additions in a seamless addition to the contract. Every single worker was friendly and courteous, and I felt safe and trusted them in my home both when I was there and when they were alone. They reached out after project completion and asked for constructive feedback - while I did not have any complaints, I had a few minor suggestions all of which they addressed and took actions on both for me and for improving for future projects. I canâ t think of anyone else in the industry who goes above and beyond like that. Aesthetics: All of the designs are absolutely gorgeous. From the textures and colors, to the fixtures, and the impeccable tile work; you can bet your place is going to look *spectacular* when they are finished. The pictures on their website donâ t do them justice - there is a â wowâ factor that cannot be conveyed in 2D. Example: long shower inlet for soaps and shampoos - spans almost the whole length of the shower and has beautiful, large and perfectly symmetric tiles in the inset. Kitchen backsplash tile work is pristine - you couldnâ t find an error if you had a magnifying glass. Functionality: Everything was designed around making my day-to-day life easier - a few examples (not an exhaustive list by any measure): Putting the shower handle to the other side of the shower entrance so I could turn it on and not get wet waiting for the water to warm up Changing to a pocket door with custom pop-out handle (much more difficult and costly) to open up the entrance to my tiny bathroom Maximizing cabinet space in my small kitchen to utilize all the corner spaces, putting in a spice drawer right next to the stove. Pricing: The pricing was slightly higher than other groups I got bids from, but seeing the end result I am (1) enjoying the sh!t out of the space on a daily basis and (2) confident there will be a return on investment later down the road if/when I sell the home. I am very, very happy with the end product and feel like my money was well spent - no regrets.

We were super excited about getting our kitchen and flooring renovated. Greg was very accommodating by meeting with us on weekends to do proposals and get the project started. We loved the design concept that he offered and the all in pricing was great. Even though he was the most expensive bud, we went with Welcome Renovations because of what they promised to provide. Unfortunately that promise wasnt kept. Our project started fast and furious and we couldnt wait to see it finished. Then the nightmare began. Greg doesnt actually do the project management anymore and has a new team member who took over. She is not as knowledgeable and things do not flow smoothly. Plus, be warned, YOU DONT GET WHAT YOU SPEC OR PAY FOR! We were replacing our flooring and asked for underlayment. It was stated in our quote that we would receive underlayment. On the first day of flooring install I noticed there was no underlayment and was told Oh you dont need it. We also chose a solid wood baseboard and received an MDF baseboard instead. Before the project began I asked if we should get a dumpster for trash. We were told that isnt necessary as trash would be hauled off daily. You can see from the photos that this didnt happen. We were also told that plastic barrier walls would be put up. Not once did that happen. They removed drywall from exterior walls and when they replaced it they didnt put the insulation back. They completely forgot about installing wiring for the under cabinet lighting until I reminded them. Last week they only worked two full days then asked if they could work on Saturday. We agreed because we are at a point that we want them finished and out of our house. They painted all day Saturday WITH THE WRONG PAINT! The end result is turning out beautiful but you will need to spend a LOT of time managing your project. If you dont know about construction I would stay away because they will not do things properly!
