Westmoreland Concrete, Inc.

We received their quote from Jon from Westmoreland Concrete, Inc. The price was more than fair, gave a down payment of 10%, and communicated that we would start the work in the first week of June, the first week of June came and they never showed up, left numerous messages and they never responded back. I have an estimate from them and I also have a copy of the check showing that they took the payment from us. 8/14/23 Update. Westmoreland completed the retaining wall. However the delay in the project resulted in enough subsidence to result in an attached porch and poured concrete steps to pull away from our house and resulted in having to be removed. Westmoreland charged me for this pleasure. In addition when they were out here they managed to jackhammer the wrong steps and had to replace them. They also severed my storm drain pipe and left for me to fix because they wanted to complete the project. This has resulted in running new pipe around the wall. Once all this transpired they requested I update my review.

Mike and his crew were very professional. They cared about our needs for the project and were respectful. The retaining wall and patio were the exact design we wanted.

Mike and his crew poured over 1,700 square feet of concrete for me consisting of a 2 car driveway, walkway with a step, and a 12' x 24' patio. He also landscaped the job. Being a craftsman I've been around construction and contractors for more than 40 years and Mike and his crew were professional, prompt, and closed the job in a timely manner. I would hire him again and recommend him.
