Eric was fantastic!! Very knowledgeable. Very polite and courteous. On-time and finished project in timely manner. I will be using Eric for a few other projects. I find that I have not had good luck with Contractors in the Eugene, OR area and I am so so so glad we found Eric Whalen. He is a keeper

Eric did a great job and stuck with it and honored his estimate even when it turned out to be far more complex than either of us expected.

Eric did not come on the scheduled day. When I called him, he said he was double booked. He did come the next day and found the problem.

They were fabulous I like them they were good I will use them again I have recommended him thank you.

Could not get him to write up a voucher or contract, when he did it was poorly done. My bad there. Didnâ t write things down and had to remind him. I asked for a dimmer for kitchen lighting and when he had done the installation he found he could not do so without doing more wiring. Felt he should have researched ahead and known this. He bought a new switch plate for the dimmer before he knew and when he could not do it he did not return the original switch and plate. He told us he could repair the ceiling where a recessed fluorescent light was. It was poorly textured and only painted area where he **fixed** it. Within a week cracking was noted on the seams where he placed wallboard. Obviously no taping was done. Tried calling and leaving messages several times with no response from him to this date. Work was done in July. Would leave when waiting for drying etc. and come back much later than said he would. This happened several times. He often said to me if your not happy just call me or you have got my address so figured he would honor his work but I guess not. I read the other reviews and wonder what happened to that professional. I have had 2 out of 3 on this site be bogus. I will not look again.

Quite nice to work with and the price was somewhat negotable.

He showed up on time did the work at the price he quoted and did excellent work. He was so good I had him extra work and it was done to my satisfaction. I would give him a 10 star rating.

Eric Whalen and his associate arrived at the arranged time and after hearing what I could tell them about the problem they went straight to work. I spent 40 years working in the electric power utility business. I have known a lot of electricians over the years so when I say these guys are TOP NOTCH I speak with years of experience. Eric Whalen and his associate really impressed me with their knowledge, skill, and professionalism. They quickly located the problem, assessed the situation and not only repaired the immediate problem but modified the system to ensure the problem would not happen again. Then came the part I was dreading, the invoice. I was amazed. I was fully expecting a total easily double, or more, what he presented me. So add reasonably priced to the list. To say I was impressed with Whalen Electric would be an understatement. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I know.

"electrician" had no apparent fan installation experience. Took over 5 hours to do job, and I now have issues with the fan.

Eric did a great job while dealing with several difficult situations. He clearly laid out every situation explaining in full the best way to handle everything he worked on. He responded quickly to my request and was readily available.

Called me just a few hours after the appointment was made on advisor.com. Great person to work with !!!

Arrived on time and didn't overcharge for the job. Very honest. We have had other electricians who wanted to do more work that was not needed. Highly recommend Whalen electric.

arranged a scheduled day and time after two hrs past time I called to find out what had happened he stated was on another job and had "forgotten" to call he did come the next day to do job doing work while paint crew was there to do their work which is what I wanted to avoid had to leave in middle of job to get material to finish job al together took about five hrs to replace 4 light fixtures and create 1 outlet price was ok

After speaking with several electricians I was beyond frustrated and absolutely blown away at the estimates I was getting. Eric Whalen was quick to respond, gave me an unbelievably reasonable quote and stuck to it!!!! His professionalism and attention to detail will definitely make him my go to person for all my electrical needs. I was extremely pleased with Whalen electric.

If a service is running late for scheduled appt time a phone call to the customer would have been appreciated. This occurred twice on 2 separate occasions, 3 hrs the 1st time, 1.5 hrs the next, which I cancelled after having to call him. In good faith I paid him in full even though the project was incomplete and was told that he would come back out the following day, after accepting the payment, he told me that he wants an additional $50 to come back out. He did not test the motor on the fan first before installing the remote control because it was in fact an issue with the remote control and not the fan. Since I had no operational fan, I went to turn the air conditioner on, didn't work, I called him, he said he forgot to plug it back in. As a senior I wasn't about to attempt crawling up into the attic. I am truly surprised at the previous listed reviews by others.

Here on time, fair priced and knew what he was doing. Will use again in the future if I need to
